This problem isn't the coach. It's teething pains. It's the coaches job to sort those out, yes, but it's going to take a long while.

thats true but exactly why i dont like him as a head coach. i dont think he damands the respect needed to control his team and sort out these teething pains that will be ongoing for a while. after some time the offense is not going to gel and kobe is going to get frustrated and just start to take over and theres nothing brown will be able to do about it because he wont call kobe out, hell he bowed down to lebron in Cleveland. its similar to the chargers and head coach norv turner (as i live in SD). both turner and brown are excellent minds in their respective fields but they just dont have that ability or that trait to handle a group of men.

Bulls when Rose plays

Bulls without Rose

They can still play well, but there is that wow / star factor missing.

Yeah, all that flailing and flopping and whistle blowing was intense. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering who would benefit from the next crappy call.

Not sure if Harden playing really well in his new role or the Pistons are that bad.

Not watching, but Harden is the real deal.

Too bad the rest of his team sucks, since they're losing to the Pistons and only one other person in double figures right now (Lin with 10).

A little from column A and a little from column B. The preseason (yes, it doesn't really account for much) heat/pistons game was laughable.

The Rockets will take a little time to work into a routine. Much less than the Lake show I suspect. For instance, last night with Nash out early, Howard lead the team in assists. I know the Lakers have always had sticky balls, but scoring 106 on 50% shooting should involve a little more passing, I'd think.

I had a feeling Harden was being held back in OKC. One thing I always thought he had over Westbrook was a higher basketball IQ. His line from last night 37 points 12 assists 6 Rebs 4 steals.

Damian Lilliard, what a beast.

First NBA player with at least 21 points and nine assists in his first career game since LeBron James on Oct. 29, 2003.

He also joined Oscar Robertson and Isiah Thomas as the only players in NBA history to record at least 20 points and 10 assists in their NBA debuts.

Not only that, but he did it while in the presence of Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Paul Gasol and Dwight Howard.

I have high hopes for this kid.

Yep 2 games. Simmer down Portland. The universe will balance out and leave you mid tier soon enough. Same with the Lakers. They'll be fine... and come up just short of glory.

I see that OKC still prefers to run zero offense.

Is Lamb going to be benched until he gets some work with the team in practice? I figured they'd toss him 5 minutes of PT. Nothing yet.

You didn't see the two man game between Thabo and Perkins? It workers so well! It does get frustrating watching them play I'm the half court sometimes.

I'm not sure what the plan is for Lamb. The bench has changed so much this off season that I'm not sure the coaches have figured it out. The only guy from last years bench (that played significant minutes) that is back is Collison.
