Default CEL, datalog, and overboost

Got a CEL, followed the instructions in the YouTube video to be sure I was doing the datalogging correctly, and logged some incomplete but interesting data.

Seems I'm overboosting by 2.5 to 3.5 psi, and I don't know where to start. I'm running the OTS map for Deatschwerks 565 injectors/vf 39/93 octane map. My mods are: small 16g, silicone inlet, STi top mount, DW 565 injectors, Walbro fuel pump, TurboXS uppipe, TurboXS DP and center section w/cat, Prodrive rear section.

I was told at the time of my engine build that this map was ok, but now I'm not so sure. Should I switch to the 91 octane map? I've tried two separate times to get the Access TUNER software from Cobb, but both times have heard nothing back from their approval process.

you must not be submitting correctly, to get the software. I got all three versions that I needed within 48 hours.

but I am really curious why you are running the VF map instead of the 16g map

All due respect, but I'm reasonably sure I submitted correctly.

Regarding the choice of map, I was told it was important to match the injectors, since the flow of the small 16g was comparable to the VF. Like I said, not sure I'm buying into what I was told, hence the post.

I'm 99% sure I'm going to get a pro tune sometime soon, but just looking for some short-term solutions.

Your ISP or email client may have put the response in a spam folder or such (because it links to an exe file). I would check to see if that is a possibility. If you still have difficulty, PM us.

When you get AccessTUNER Race, you'll want to zero out the "Wastegate Duty Cycles (High)" in the map, save, and reflash that to the car. That will cause you to run wastegate boost, but should prevent the overboosting until you can get the proper protune for your set up.

Or he could just reduce the last three columns by 8% and see where it puts him...

Thanks for the replies!

Bill - Got it all sorted with AccessTUNER, installed and ready to go. I will try what you suggest tomorrow.

Black94Snake - I did Frankenstein a map from the 16g with fuel settings from the DW map. Pulled wastegate duty down and it's driving much better, but not perfect. Just pressure tested the intake, all is well there, so now on to MAF and O2. Still overshooting target boost, but no oscillation, just one spike.
