I think he's talking about the multiple scratches on the lower end of his front bumper right above the lip?

If so, some sandpaper and a DA should be able to get that right out. Depends how deep the scratches are though.

It is hard to tell how deep the scratches are based on the pictures (also because I am looking at them on my phone) but you could try meguiar's scratch X 2.0 before you try anything else. That stuff does some amazing work and if it doesn't work, it only set you back a couple bucks.

They are more like spider web cracks were the paint flexed to much. From just running my hands on them I doesnt feel too deep, but it might be worth it to just buy a new bumper..idk

From the picture those look like cracks not scratches. If they are in fact cracks in the paint there is nothing that can be done.

A good rule of thumb with scratches is if you can catch your fingernail on them they are typically too deep to buff out.

I have those exact same marks in the bumper of my 06 WRX. They are indeed cracks not scratches, trust me i tried megs 105 with a cutting pad and DA to no avail... seems like flexing of the bumper would be the cause, and i suspect this is a common issue. Looks to me like we will need to repaint our bumpers to fix it.

If the bumper doesn't seem to have been structurally compromised, then why not try filling the cracks with some touch up paint. I would try filling the cracks, assuming they are not all the way through of course, with some touch up paint and then a few levels of wet sanding. Then take a DA to it and that might do the trick. It would at least be the best first-attempt before going to the point of picking up a new bumper.

Those are "spider cracks" from an impact. There is no miracle Meguair's product or using touch up to fix. You will have to sand most of the cracks out, then apply a flexible polyester filler, smooth. Odds are the cracks will come right back after any type of bump, making all that work and money wasted.

Get a new bumper if you are looking for perfection.
