Default CR Spotless Water System

Does anyone have one of these Cr Spotless Water Systems? If so how do you like it? How often do you have to change the resin and filter? Thanks

I have a CRS DIC-20 I bought a few years back and have been using it constantly for my regular wash regimen on my own vehicles ever since. I also use it periodically to clean the windows on my home. I'll post bak later this morning to give you more details. ....im on the way out the door right now.

To follow up my earlier post....

As mentioned, I have a CRS system and use it consistently to wash my own vehicles. As for how many washes you'll get with it depends on several factors but mostly the quality of your water and how much you use the system during a wash. Most folks will typically just use theirs for the final rinse. I use mine for pre-rinsing and as a final rinse. My water is particularly bad at ~500 ppm TDS and I can get around 12 or more washes with my current technique (and using a 2.5 gpm restrictor occasionally).

The resin is expensive but I have found one place (Windows101) that carries cubic foot bags cheaper than anywhere else. Their price is about $145 shipped to my door while most other sources are well above $200. One cu/ft will replace the resin in the 20" cartridges of my DIC-20 a little over 3 times.

Personally, I would say my DI system is one of the most valuable detailing tools/products I have purchased to date. ....this is including my DA's. Since Ive had it, I would honestly find it hard to maintain my cars without it now.

Bulk reef supply has deionization resin for pretty cheap. I'm pretty sure it's the same stuff the CRS system uses. I get 0ppm out of my RODI system for my saltwater reef tank.

....yeah. I'm not sure about the different grades or difference between some of the types. The stuff from CRS and Windows101 (Thermax Tulsion) is a mixed bed resin (containing both anion and cation exchange resins). The product(s) from BRS may be the same, I don't know. As far as the price, it appears they sell it by weight but they also seem to list how many "standard" 10" cartridges each will fill. The only problem is that without knowing the dimensions of those cartridges, I can't say for sure how that would translate to 20" cartridges like mine (which are thicker than my 10" softener cartridge for example).

Unfortunately, it's difficult for me to figure out if it's a better buy than my current source or not.
