Talking What are you drinking now?

A potentially fun thread.

Alaska is a top consumer of Alcohol products. Don't be embarrassed by it. Embrace it. Revel in it.

I enjoy a bit of libation from time to time….when the time calls for it. About to head onto Bourbon street now…but getting tuned up before going down stairs.

nectar of the gods….

Good topic Mike. This should net some interesting results.

I had some of this with dinner tonight.

Right out of the bottle, because I'm not refined enough to use a goblet or challis as they suggest. (pinky not extended)

I love beer. I like almost anything from Green Flash Brewing Co. Just finished a couple Double Stout black ales

I just got my first bottle of Herradura two weeks ago to make up some mean margaritas. It is a pretty tasty tequila if I do say so myself. My drink of choice would have to be Jameson though.

???

You put mixer in your Herradura? Wow

I just sipped on it. Stuff was clean and smooth by itself. It is a high end product.

I tend to stick with silver or blanco tequilas when I mix a pitcher of Rita's up.

To each their own though.

Jameson is a great Irish whiskey. I enjoy it and bushmills when I am ready to move on from a couple Black and Tans.

Jameson is a good Irish Whiskey, however I tried not too long ago "The Knot". It is another Irish Whiskey and will admit it is much smoother than Jameson.

Beer is my go-to. Hefeweizen and light ales are my stuff. Can't really drink IPAs or darker brews though.

Ah yes, the bottle I bought is their blanco. No aging my tequila
I must admit I wouldn't usually mix something like that either, but after having the most delicious tasting margarita (it was also $18, though I didn't find out the price until after I bought it) at some fancy restaurant I definitely had to try and reproduce it. I'm getting closer, but experimenting with the mixes is half the fun.
On the note of high end alcohol, has anyone tasted johnnie walker's blue label. I have a bottle of it, and being as much as it is, I can't really say that I'm impressed by it. Hell I don't know that I'd like it even if it were only a 1/5 of the regular price.

Tried BSN products at one point, but, my stomach/system rejected it. I've been hooked on musclepharm for many months now and it's worked excellent. I train MMA at Gracie Barra 3-4 times a week for multiple hours and their Assault pre-workout drink and the Amino post-workout supplement are incredible. I've been on the unfortunate end of someone's glove once or twice and still gone home with no soreness and aches after using it. Plus their Combat Protein is by far the best tasting I've had yet to try. 54G per 2 scoop serving and tastes great in both water or milk.

As for out-of-gym beverages go, if you like beer, you need to try this:

Beer brewed and aged in used bourbon barrels. It is an amazing beer, great for dinner, and my personal favorite, with a nice cigar. a 4-pack will run you about $10 but SOMETIMES Brown Jug has it in the growler bar, and then it's just delicious!

Anything brewed by Chimay and Midnight Sun are also savored.

Sounds like it would taste amazing. I've never heard of that Kentucky before I'll have to pick some up tomorrow I would assuming they have at Brown Jug in ER.

Ya the BSN has never done me wrong I'll use it for a cycle then stay off for a couple of weeks. As far as the protein I like there flavors they have. Musclepharm I heard was very good as well.

I love Alaska Brewing Co. and had to try their offering in a can. It's chilling in the fridge now. There are a lot of can haters in my workplace.
