I was driving down the highway a couple days ago and passed behind a dump truck, CRACK!! It was loud so I looked around from where I was and didn't see anything. The other day I was washing my car and guess what I saw on the lower passanger side. Yup, the hit was below my windshield wiper and the crack runs up about a foot.
Will the warrenty cover that or will I have tho have my insurance cover it?!

Your insurance should cover that. In FL (where i am) it gets replaced for free even if you have a deductable.

It's not under warranty but could be covered by your insurance. Some states have a zero decuctible on glass. Not NJ.

Mine cracked about a month ago, my insuranced cover the cost of the winshield replacement.
So give your insurance agent a call and see if you have a deductible or not. |

Yeah, it's a bitch! Mine cracked with only about 4K on the clock. I thought it was a stress crack, but no, there is a tiny little speck on the outside edge.
My deductible is $100! -Brian |

If it was hit by a rock, insurance it is. But it couldn't hurt to have it checked out by the dealership.
EDIT- One of my i-club buddies pulled the truck over that kicked up a rock and cracked his foglight, the company gave him $120 for his troubles. He now has hellas on his car. [ June 15, 2001: Message edited by: rally kid ] |
