Default Stage 2 High vs Low Wastegate?

Guys, last night I finally went Stage 2 in the 2011 STI.

SF Intake, Up Pipe, and Downpipe. Flashed to Stage 2 + SF Intake, but stayed with the Normal Wastegate.

I don't have a cat-back yet.

What is the different in the Low vs High Wastegate?

Thanks

Low wastegate map would be used if you are overboosting. High wastegate map would be used if you are underboosting by more than 1 psi (your peak target in 4th gear for STi). Normal wastegate map is what you try first. I would go ahead and get a data log and we can see where you are at:

Mind taking a look at my log?

If I'm correct, it seems to be right on target.

Thanks

It looks good, but I would make sure you aren't overboosting by more than 1 psi in higher gears (5th and 6th), in situations where you would likely go wide open throttle.

How can I control that? Selecting the Low Wastegate map?

Thanks again Bill

Yes, if you found you were overboosting in higher gears, you could download the low wastegate (LWG) map from the maps section at cobbtuning.com. Then use the AccessPORT Manager software to transfer it to your AccessPORT and then reflash to the car.
