2001 PT cruiser 5 speed! I was about 15 when I first learned in that piece of crap. One car after that was standard two were automatic and since I finally purchased my first WRX(standard) I intend to keep it strictly Subaru and standard.

A 93 diesel Chevy dually ton truck. Best ever! You could drop the clutch and it would take off and wouldn't stall out..haha
2nd gear was tricky cause I would drop the clutch to quick and make it jerk. |

A '91 Honda CRX that I bought as a beater for the city when I was in college. Lasted me a couple of years before I moved to my '00 2.5RS (may she rest in peace). Now I'm onto a (surprisingly) stock '06 WRX and hoping to mod it this spring.

Grandpa's Dacia 1100. I don't even think it was fully synchronized, the shifting mechanism went through a tunnel in the floor all the way to the back. Vague does not even begin to describe the shifting.
I was 17, loved every second and wish I could drive one of those again. |

84 Datsun/Nissan 300ZX (had both badges, anniversary edition) is what I learned on. First car was an '03 Mazda Protege I went half in with my parents when I graduated high school with a full academic scholarship and since then an '09 WRX which was my first "real" car" and a '13 STI.

Well technically I would say I learned the concept on motorcycles first.. but the first car I drove and learned on that was stick was the 03 nissan 350z I bought when I was 19. guess im a quick learner, only stalled a few times when I first got it and never rolled into anyone on a hill. Also still had the same clutch when I sold it after driving it for 8 years no slipping at all.

I learned on a 1998 Honda Accord Sedan.
I was 15/16 years old when I learned. I've been driving a stick for 12 years on and off. My first car was a 1995 Acura Integra SE, 5 speed. |

Father wouldn't let me learn how to drive a auto. He borrowed a Fully loaded Peterbuilt rig from a friend. When I could make it up to speed and back down successfully 10 times in a row, without stalling the big diesel, I was allowed to flog the Corvette around the neighborhood, also a manual. Early 90's, I was 14 in Missouri with a farm permit. Every car since has been a manual, so I am approaching 21yrs driving 'em
