Default Anybody else keep logbooks for their car?

I started doing this a year or two ago....just a small binder with some excel sheets done up, a pen, and a calculator...

I use mine to keep track of any mods I do, services I have done, and (most of all) fuel mileage. It works great for calculating how certain driving styles/mods/services affect fuel mileage, and I think it gives a buyer some more confidence if you ever want to see the vehicle.

Just curious as to how anyone else does it...I'm about to make one up for my new RS...

I do. I don't keep a record of mileage tho. I do measure mileage and keep the general figure in my head.

I've become more lax with the RS but used to do this will all my cars. It was sort of fun to go back through and see the mileage be like 25...24...27...23...12.... Easy to figure out track days.

I do this, but only for services/mods, not for mileage. I use the last few "notes" pages in my owner's manual, and write down stuff like:

"change oil 24,895 mi."
"change oil 28,384 mi'
"change oil, coolant 31,384"
"installed turboxs stage 4 34,856 mi"
"replaced melted #1 piston, 36,338 mi'

etc.

So when you de-mod your car and sell it in stock form, do you whiteout those entries?

use a small spiral ring notebook and write major things alone on a page....then you can rip out the appropriate pages when needed (Those holes, no, there was never a roll cage in the car....must be drain holes)

Heh, when I sell the car, there will be a conspicuous absence of "notes" pages in the back of the manual.

Yeah, I do. I keep a record of pretty much everything about my car. I imagine a lot of enthusiasts do - it's a good thing to have.

I track every fill-up, noting: Date, mileage, how much gas, how much the gas cost

That way I can run averages for montly gas cost, and mileage...
