Default Subaru maintenance agreement

Did anyone else purchase the maintenance agreement when they bought a new Subaru? If so did you have any problems getting the dealer to change the oil at 3,000 miles?

I bought the car at Evanston and currently at 2985 miles. I live in Buffalo Grove and Roto is close by. I went today at lunch and the service guy gets in the car and makes the comment about being early. I said I am 15 miles away and paperwork shows 3,000.

He starts printing something out and said Subaru shows 3750 and won't pay for the oil change until I get closer. The guy was a d*ck!

I called Evanston and Derek the salesman and Dorothy in service both stated they do them all at 3,000. She couldn't believe that Roto wouldn't handle it.

I quit going to Rotor when WAY back in the day my buddies "warrantied" 05 STI block suddenly became...un-warrantied and months of lawsuits ensued.

Who did you get at Roto? I've been going there for 8 years. They did all of my service package oil changes at exactly 3k every time for 3 years. I know some things changed there recently but I think they still have the same service manager. Complain to him and you'll get taken care of.

Also, they send out coupons for 15.95 oil changes, great deal. I think synthetic is $59. I can't buy it for that.

If he was a real big guy that's the guy to avoid. Everyone else has been nice. Evanston Subaru is a vendor on here and they are good from what I hear.

Congrats on the new suby, hope your luck with dealers improves, but it's unlikely, and that can be said of all dealers, all brands.
