Default best place to get 0w-20 oil

hey guys

Need to change the oil and was wondering where i can find the least expensive 0w-20. So far the best ive done was a 5 quart jug at walmart for $26

Mobil 1 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5qt

Does anyone know of anywhere to get it cheaper?
And to confirm, 5qt is enough right?

Are you questioning the viscosity, or the use of Mobil 1?

That's a fine product, although I'm probably going to spend slightly more and buy Amsoil OE 0w20 from my local distributor (to save on shipping charges). My first order just came in today.

Regardless of brand, you should buy 6 qts for your 2012 Impreza, which calls for 5.3 qts to fill.

I stayed with Subaru oil filters, which I bought on eBay from a Subaru parts dealer for approximately $7 each (I bought a three pack).

I also just ordered a Fumoto valve (F-108N) to replace the factory drain plug, so that I'll be able to direct the oil without mess into the catch pan, using a plastic tube.

I'll be doing my first oil change in a couple of weeks.

That's cheaper than a tank of gas. Don't be so damn cheap! Oil is the lifeblood of your engine. Just buy it and run it for 7,500 miles.

Subaru is recommending 0w20 now?

But Walmart is about the cheapest place to buy motor oil, unless you find a really good ad for pepboys or autozone.

Yes, 0w20. Buying the Mobil1 product at Walmart is a fine choice. Many people on this forum do the same.

Please take the time to read the break-in and maintenance sections of your owner's manual. That should be your first source of answers to your questions, with this forum as the back up source.

Uncle Scotty, this is going to be the 2nd time I'm responding to one of your replies to me as follows:

If you disagree with what I'm saying, please explain yourself. I have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, I'm a newbie. But you can't expect me to learn anything from a response such as yours.

I paid $36.60 for 6 qts of Amsoil OE 0w20. Since I bought from my local Amsoil distributor, I didn't pay shipping.

Cheapest I've found was at Farm & Fleet, which has Peak 0W20 for $3.99/qt.
