Looking at this link it looks like it will be on Saturday September 22nd.

http://1adsi.com/index.php/instructors-schedule

But I've never done ADSI so this could be an old schedule and that's assuming that when they say New England they mean Quonset Point.

Sounds like my advice helped out a bit. Did you find that you were able to push the car harder?

I'll be back in the near future, work related injury has set me back a bit. Finally solved my overheating issue. Relay for fan was not sitting in the fuse box correctly and would wiggle around and sometimes work and sometimes not work..

Bump. ADSI's next event is Sunday, 9/23. They are offering their normal Full Day Course or Open Day (half day) and also offering pay-per-lap as part of an "open house." Here's a thread started with info on the "open house."

Bummer that it's on the same day as the NER event that I just signed up for. It'd be cool to do both.

Switched over to AGS for the next Devens race. Still no competition for you (@ibrake4scoobs) but at least you won't be alone in class.

NE-SVT Autocross #6 - Sept 9
Devens Airfelid Ayer Ma

It was a bit cool and drizzly in the morning when we first arrived but just before lunch (which was provided at no extra cost, Take note SCCA! ) it cleared up to be around 70 and sunny for the rest of the day.

Course was pretty high speed, I would hold limiter throughout different sections totaling probably 20-25% of the course. There was a tricky extremely tight angled box just before the finish line which was sending cones flying, causeing alot of people to lose alot of time (my self included ) but also gave a select few the ablility to shave 2-3 seconds off their competition when handled correctly.

Some Photo's and a highlight or two...

Got to see this thing run, man was it fast! 2009 Ariel Atom driven by Lee Shelton, A.K.A. "The Cheater Car"

When you see a Vette with slicks on the ground, the rear end up in the air and you hear the words "Catastrophic Failure" you know things cannot be good. Ended up drawing a big crowd at lunch time and there was no shortage of "Opinions" and "Suggestions" to the poor guys actually doing the work as the entire event huddled over one car for 20 minutes. Ended up being a cracked hub and a cracked half shaft, but I guess the world stops when the Boss's car wont make it home...

And lastly just a quick shot of my Econobox and some of the competition.

Only 3 Subaru's total for this event showed, and 2 of them were with us. There was an 08 WRX blacked out with flaps and exhaust but since we were running and working different times I never got a chance to introduce myself.

All in all a great day at the track, I even got to buy my Father a victory beer as he took 3rd place in Novice with his 1990 Black Cherry Eagle Talon TSi AWD A.K.A. "The Dinosaur".

Looking forward to the 23rd and possibly Oct 21st with SCCA, Hope to see you there!

Great to see JB shaking the cob-webs out of the 1g! Seems the tires and suspension work has really paid off, he must have been thrilled! I'm sure he was on a mission to prove his worth!

What were the fast times for the day? How'd you compare? What was JB's competition in novice?

Here is a SS of the released results from NE SVT showing the Novice index and the top 5 fastest times of the day.

As you can see I had quite a few encounters with the little orange bastards, but as they say if your not hitting cones your not getting close enough!

Little bummed out that the car was having a stalling issue during every single one of my runs (Pretty sure it was fuel starvation; Just need to track down why), but I still had a great time.

Bump for ADSI Open House, which is now this Sunday (9/30). $10 per lap on their course is a hell of a deal.

NER SCCA Point Events 9 Attack of the Cones
-9/25/2012
Devens Air Field Ayer MA

Cold and drizzly in the early morning as the 148 drivers started to roll in at 7 AM for the days event. Luckily the clouds broke shortly after the drivers meeting and it was lining up to be another good day at Devens.

SM Class or Camero Class as it dubbed at this event

First runs of the day were a bit tricky as the track and everyones tires were very cold, which made for some interesting lines, generally ones full of smoke and tank slappers.

Quite a few Subaru's showed up for this, 3 RS's including my self, some newer Impreza's, a number of STi's, WRX's and even a new OBS!

Was an unfortunate day for a few drivers out there. From what I saw personnaly 2 carts had mechanical failures, headgasket on a heavily prepped Jetta went, Dnut's Camero seemed to have either fuel or electrical issues and a miata lost a radiator.

Luckily the miata drivers were able to get a new radiator installed and get the car back up and running for the second half of the day, and top it off they placed well in novice class.

Almost 40 novice drivers were at this event which is always a good thing. It seems like quite a few novices will be moving up by the next event or by the beginning of next season. (Some hopefully into RTA!!)

The season is almost over!! So if you want to get in on this before the end of the year go here:

http://www.motorsportreg.com/

And sign up!

There is an ADSI event in Quonset Point RI, on Sunday the 30th

NER SCCA Stirling Moss Runoff and the SCCA Team Challange at Devens are on the 7th and the 21st of October

The Final NE SVT at Devens is on October 27th at Devens.

I will most likley be at the Team Challange on the 21st and the NE SVT event on the 27th. Hope to see the regulars again and meet any of the new comers before the season is done, so stop by and say hi!

Anyone going to be at the Stirling Moss Challenge this coming weekend? Just ordered a new set of Dunlop Direzza Star Specs and can't wait to find out just how much grip they have.

I really need to get into this stuff ASAP. I recently got an '08 LGT from a fellow NESIC-er which he has taken to tracks, but I haven't yet. I think it's about due for a trip to one... How much fun did you have with your car there?

Nope, None, fun is not allowed.

You should definatly try to make an event before the season ends this year but I will warn you, it is addicting. Being my first season im expecting massive withdrawls this winter.

Bump for the results of the Moss Runoff:

http://www.ner.org/sites/ner.org/files/moss_fin.htm

I was unable to attend this event but it looks like it came down to the very last run.

Pics:

Would really like to make atleast 1 more event this season, but since my clutch is worn to the point where i have to work to DD the car i doubt it's going to happen.
