Default STOCK 05 wrx wagon

I am currently in the process of completly upgrading the turbo intake, inlet to the filter starting with samco inlet; samco conector and the SF cobb tuning intake and airbox combo.
I want to get the perrin turbo outlet *catless delete* next. After that ill work on a full exhaust but I'm not sure where to start mybaby's journey after that, nothing internal I hope it was a fresh rebuild due to timing failure around 125k. I also have the bigger TMIC with hks ssq bov.... Where to next !!?? Anything is appericiated
- thanks guys

When should I be looking for the tune after the parts added, before , or a step by step one after the intake then another after the exhaust ? How great are the cobb accessports my bubbies got one for his 02 but when we put on a short ram and re tuned it and he feels like it lost some boost also. Would anything need to be professionally tuned?

Professional tune is always the ticket. But do the tune after the parts are on. I've had my car professionally tuned 3 or 4 times already.

Your buddy probably just wasn't used to the car running safely and efficiently, that's why he said it felt like it lost boost. But one way to make sure either way is a boost gauge.

Yes he has a boost gauge and it spikes , it is tuned to 17.5. But nevermind that. How much would I expect the professional tune to cost? And this is actually what I want to furthur myself into and beable to do everything on my own time with my own equipment that I don't have >__<

Btw good advice lol, and that arises another question, do you lose boost pressure because it is relieving the pressure instead of diverting it?

No. Once the throttle plate closes and you go back into negative pressure the valve will open. BOVs will expell the metered air into the atmosphere while BPVs will recirculate the metered air back to the turbo inlet. Btw the MAF "counts" the air. That's what I mean by metered air.

Aight good advice and thanks a lot. Are 2002-2007 ecu/engines identical? Asking if an accessport can be shared between two wrx's?

No.

Buy the AP specific to your year or 2.0L motor. The 06-07 is a 2.5L, won't work.

Front strut tower brace eh? Any reason you bought eye candy? Those 8mm spacers must've made everything a b*tch to fit as well. Any reason you chose those instead of the 3mm ones?

Yes, for the hardware and was doing the inlet install.. lol and yeah I can handle a b*tch, I'm a student and wanted to do something difficult all my hoses are blue, except the rad hoses, but the Cusco blue went in pretty nicely hehe. But I want the front support for superb cornering

The sway bars I'm looking for should be some blue too... Hmmm

I also got the black heatshield from grimmspeed.. great fit like all their products.

You don't just get swaybars just to get swaybars as like anything else there is tuning involved. Suspension tuning....and to those in the know, it is MORE important than engine tuning.

Call (513) 860-3508 tomorrow or monday and state your car, your car's use, your budget and LISTEN to what they say. They may talk you INTO something else and OUT of what you want. Fear not. Calling these people is like calling the Pope and asking for advice on Catholic conversion. Do exactly what they say and buy exactly what they say. Don't second guess them, don't him and haw, and realize that they care about making your car run the way you want and give zero ****s about money.

Well first off, welcome. I live in the lehigh valley too! I drive a 2007 wrx wagon. It's completely stock besides a boost gauge, mudflaps, and short shift. My next mod is epic engineering lowering springs + rear sway bar with Kartboy rear endlinks. Then I'm going to get an alignment. After that, when spring rolls around I'm going to get a catted down pipe and Cobb AP and buy the custom torqued performance map for stage 2. Good luck with your car man.

By the way, from what I learned from my short time here... use the search bar and listen to Unabomber.

Hope to see you around LV

search up Torqued Performance maps. On the website its for 08+ but I emailed the tuner and he told me he could do a custom tune for my car for $180. Basically the Cobb AP is for a model/year of a car, but isnt tuned specifically to YOUR car. I read plenty of reviews and was told that the Torqued Performance map is a huge difference from the cobb.

What I'm doing is staying stage 1 with cobb's map, then when I get the downpipe Ill go stage 2 and buy the custom map from TP.

Goodlooks man. That will help a lot I bet because the base maps a for their specific mods. So like me and a whole bunch of people and wide variation of different mods to their cars we will get the most from these parts with that map.

Thanks alot

Installed the grimmspeed light weight crank pulley.

Messeged Eric at torqued performance, waiting for that to get the GS 3 port EBCS and his tune installed !
