Default Perrin 6MT Transmission Mount

The install was very straight forward and easy, I have a lift so that made it slightly easier but all in all I would say it requires around 30-45 minutes to install.

This is one of those things that really needs to be done but some how it just keeps getting put off. The transmission mount exceeded my expectations and I noticed the difference right away, actually, before I even drove the car. When removing the stock mount you can see how squishy it is, you can move and bend it with your hands, so you can only imagine the flex and movement during shifting. I think most people will vary with what they feel after the install depending on the application of the car. If your car is making a lot of power I believe this will be much more noticeable, In my car, the transmission was very sloppy, during shifts you could feel the transmission moving all over the place, especially during hard shifting in a racing application. In the past I've broken a 6MT and I'm convinced it was because the transmission moves so much with the stock mount. With the Perrin mount there is slightly more vibration and noise but it's well worth it and I actually like it, you can feel and hear the car more, as you should. With every shift, whether up or down, you feel how connected the transmission is to the car and instead of losing power from the transmission moving and jumping around on those gummy stock mounts you can now put it to the ground and actually feel it, the power is transferred much faster and smoother, significantly noticeable on a hard 1-2 shift. The gear change is solid and crisp now, everything is more responsive and much smoother. I think this mod is the second most important, only right behind solid motor mounts. All of the mounts on the car were strictly designed for comfort with very little performance in mind, which is fine for driving to that sunday bingo tournament but if you're looking for performance that you can feel the stock playdoh mounts need to be replaced, start here.

It's still something that we're working on, we don't have an eta right now, but expect them to be released before the end of the year!
