Default AC Clutch Removal

So my compressor wheel is noisy and I simply removed the belt to prevent it from spinning and whining. But 1.5 years later, there's an effing heat wave and I want some A/C! So I'm attempting to remove the ac clutch and notice little metal bits fall from inside so that's probably causing the noise.

I was able to thread some bolts into the holes and that seemed to hold the wheel steady while I undid the center bolt. However with the center bolt out, the damn clutch piece doesn't come off.

Here's a picture from the internet:

It's a slightly different look to an ej20 one but he says it just slides right off. I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this. Anyone have any experience?

Just hammer it until it decides to give?? Haha well I guess I'll try... but I was prying the damn thing with screw drivers and it wouldn't come. It was like the 3 extra circular disc things on the face had a part to play.

Lube and a Mallet. Im kinda glad I'm several oceans away from that good time.

As for the AC compressor. I would just replace it. pick a nice one out of a junkyard with same year usdm impreza's. Swap it and recharge the system.

It took me just less than an hour when I deleted the AC from my EJ20G. And I removed it completely intact incase i changed my mind. Although I didnt have to worry about capturing the gasses. I had a leak which I fixed before deciding to do the AC delete and had no gasses to capture.

Just swapping the compressor shouldnt take too long.

I have a spare USDM 93 impreza so I've got what I need I guess. Don't plan on driving that one anyways heh. Thanks.
