Talking Got a WRB Limited today! :-)

Drove 150 miles away, but definitely worth it! The drive home in the BRZ was awesome! (I got into my '02 WRX after I got home and it was such a huge change!) Picked up a 6 speed manual, World Rally Blue Pearl BRZ Limited! Love it!

Congrats on the new car... and the glaring hatred from all of us who don't have one yet.

Thanks everyone! It was a great and fun drive home even though i kept it under 4000 rpm and didn't go crazy, but some winding roads were nice. I actually reset the avg mpg calculator a few mins after leaving the dealership and after 150 miles and pulling up to my place the ave mpg said 37.0.... i was shocked and very impressed... but was in 6th just crusing and probably hit 80mph at some points... but that's amazing mileage! Also it is definitely not as slow as i expected even without pushing it hard, especially on the highway passing. I never dropped down a gear (to keep the rpms low, normally I would downshift) and still felt it had pick up and was no problem passing people on the highway. It's a different feeling because there is no turbo lag compared to the WRX... so far LOVE IT!

Congrats! Even if you don't plan on modding it at all, keep us posted on your driving impressions, even if the positive impressions seem redundant after a while. You seem fairly reasonable and satisfied with the car thus far, so I'm curious to see if that attitude sticks for a while.

Thanks!

Definitely will keep you guys posted on the car. I drive a lot, so the miles will come quickly... in the 11 years I've had my '02 WRX, I've put 253k miles on that car. I had mods to the WRX for a while - utec stage 2, some handling upgrades, but I don't see any engine mods coming to the BRZ, because after a while with the WRX, I don't drive all crazy and push my car too hard which is probably why I have so many miles on the stock wrx tranny... and don't need to race anyone, so I just enjoyed the handling of my wrx more than the speed... and this BRZ in a few hours of driving handles so much better stock than my wrx with mods which is exactly what I wanted. I wanted a car that i can push through a curve and along winding roads and handles amazing more than having speed and power!

I just spent almost 30 minutes test driving a manual WRB Ltd on the backroads of Flemington. Wow, what a FUN car!
