Ok, I know enough about boxer engine to be 'dangerous'. If the BRZ is a car built for drifting, and considering the oiling issues on boxers when in high g turns, does anyone think Subie addressed this on the BRZ? I'm refering to oil starvation on the head of the inside turn. I'm also curious to know what Subie has done with the oil pan and pickup, if they've done anything at all - which they shouldn't have copied the WRX design - if they did because again, there could be issues with oil starvation and the pickup sucking in air in sufficiently high enough g continuous turns.

I haven't seen the BRZ's sump yet, but drifting is not what I'd consider high lateral force loading. Even if it did have the crappy old design I think you'd be fine for that sport. I honsestly don't know tons about drifting, but I know tires that stick generate more force than those that slip/slide. Henceforth, starvation issues usually arise when traction is at the cusp of loosing traction.
