Over the fourth of july week i had a competition clutch stage 2 2100 series with their streetlite flywheel installed in my 2007 wrx tr with a stage 1 tune. Have only been able to put 80 miles on it so far but i thought i would write my very initial thoughts and update as i reach the 500 mile break in period. Clutch feel is almost the same as stock. It takes no more pressure to push in the clutch pedal. Right now the clutch engagement is alot quicker than stack. And if i slip the clutch at all it is pretty smelly. But with the lightweight flywheel the engine seems to rev faster. Really hard to tell exactly right now since i have to baby it for the first 500 miles. But overall i am very happy with clutch and hope it will serve me well in the future.

Well I am at a little over 300 miles. I have a 4 mile round trip commute to work so i am trying to put the miles on. Flywheel is awesome. Clutch is still breaking in. Does not liked to be slipped in first gear, really smelly but slowly getting better. So far, so good.

Still have 150 mile before my 500 mile break in. But so far clutch is good. Still smells a little in first if i slip the clutch. But otherwise seems to be great. Haven't been able to do a 3rd or fourth gear pull at 17 lbs of boost yet. So i have to wait and see for that yet. But so far it feels good

I have the same clutch. The break in was kinda crappy but after that it was great. Although my clutch feel is much much stiffer then stock. Anyone with a stock clutch that drives my car complains, but after the first 2 weeks I liked it much better. Now whenever I drive a stock clutched car I feel like I'm gonna press the pedal through the floor boards lol.
I'm currently making close to 400wtq and the clutch is holding perfectly fine. My only complaint is the lightened flyhweel. I do like how easy it has made rev matching on down shifts, but I hate when I have to cruise around in first gear and the car bucks around like it wants to whip my ass out the windown. |

See actually i have the exact opposite effect when cruising in first gear... I can go down to about a thousand rpm and slowly press on the gas and it goes away smoothly. But i am also only about 280 horsepower. So that may be some of the difference. First gear is really the only tricky thing. You can't really slip the clutch much so i just give the car in front of me some extra space and release the clutch. But it is good to hear it can hold that much horsepower. Not that i will ever get that high but i do plan a few more mods..

Well here it is. Little over a thousand miles on clutch. Love it. Took a track day school event. So i had about 20 practice runs with hards starts and five track runs. NEVER once did the clutch do anything other than grip! So i hope to have many many many miles to enjoy this clutch!

I ran this clutch on my 05 sti. Seemed like a good feel after it was broken in but sadly that took about 1500 miles. My car never smelled the same after that. It slipped in first and stunk all the time. I constantly felt like something was wrong. I personally wouldn't buy this clutch again.
