Default Anyone tried out the GMS Turbo Blanket yet?

Just curious, all things considered if anyone had tried one out. Either gonna snag one of GMS's or a PTP. Thoughts? Besides "blah blah blah knockoff this and that". It seems to be made of the right materials, and that's probably all that matters on a part like this.

its really similar to the prosport. it works well on 16g through gt35R sized turbos, i've sold about 135 of them so far.

if there are specific questions i can answer, please let me know

Josh

Too big for the TD04? I'm on the gulf coast, need some help with the underhood temps in the summer.
TD05 isn't that much larger, just wanted to make sure.

yeah since its t3 style. its too big for a td04...vf series...

i would go with a grimmspeed heat shield or perrin turbo blanket if you have a stock turbo. the gms blanket is only for upgraded turbos.

the atp turbo poses its own problem due to the wastegate location...

Yeah the only issue I for see is the thread not being able to handle the heat. I've had a few turbo blankets fail at the seams

I don't know about the GMS, but I do have the PTP and the quality/price is well worth it. Running it with a GS heat shield and my STOCK intercooler stays cool, and that thing is sh**.

I had a nice draco one that fell apart. I believe it was because of the seams being in the inside and directly contacting the turbo. Keep in mind this was on a 16g so it was unmolested like what I'm going to have to do for my ewg

I checked the ptp blanket thread and there's a guy in there with the same turbo housing as me with the Ewg connecting to the hot side. He had one from ptp that isn't doing so well where the ewg cutout was made. But I don't think it was sewn back up after being cut…
