OMGHi2U Legacy starting issues please help

Iím having periodic starting problem with my 1997 Automatic Subaru Legacy Wagon GT. When I go to start the car I donít hear the starter engage just 1 click and nothing. The interior lights, radio, headlights all have power. If I wait a while (it all varies), the starter will work again. The cluster lights dim when I turn the key over so Iím assuming the ignition switch is working. I move the gear shifter into neutral to check that senor, but the starter still doesnít engage in neutral or park. Eventually itíll start on its own and work for a while before it decides to stop again for no reason. Iíve checked the grounds and power cable to the starter I've already replaced the battery, alternator, battery terminals. The starter is a newer Bosch reman, what could be this problem?

Attached is a video of the symptoms

I'm having the EXACT same issue with my 1997 Legacy GT. But I still have the OEM starter...

I noticed several random times over the past couple months that when I turned the key to start the car there was a slight 1/2 sec delay before the car would turn over and start. This morning when I went to start the car, I experienced what you explained above. After about 5 minutes of turning the key, taking the key in and out, etc, and then wiggling the key all crazy when I turned the key, it finally started.

Not sure what's going on. The car is 15 yrs old and has over 200k miles...

Did you ever find a solution? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
