Except "pistons" lol

A Google search or even search of the forums will bring you more information and quicker. Try that out. There are several places to buy replacement internals. rockauto.com ... go take a look around

Nope. The Classified Ads is restricted exclusively to Subaru owners who manufacture new pieces in their bathrooms

I don't get it. If you used Caps Lock, wouldn't everything look LIKE THIS? Does your boss like for every word to be capitalized?

As for your original question, I think that the naturally aspirated 2.5 shares a (forged) crankshaft with the WRX / STI, so you should be good there already. I don't know about the pistons, though.

The number of camshafts has nothing to do with whether differ engines share a crankshaft.

Use a stock crank and rods from a WRX then get high CR pistons

crawford performance do some 9.0:1 pistons that with the lower CC's of the SOHC get around 9.5:1. add in an STI headgasket and you're near as makes no difference stock compression ratio.

then just use sti rods and you're set.

I keep wondering whether stroker cranks for turbo motors would work with OEM or aftermarket NA pistons...

Yes, absolutely. Just have to make sure the deck height ends up correct and that your compression ratio is good. You could bump compression up a bit and run premium for some more power. Also, if you're building up the bottom end, you really should get some headwork/cams done. Essentially the power is in the heads, the strength is in the internals.

Oh it's just a pipe dream. I'll probably never have the time or opportunity to actually do it.
