Default Choices for a spare

So I found a nail in my front drivers side tire. It's still inflated and the TPM sensor isn't even saying it's low on air. I still want to take it to get it patched so I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this. I could leave it like it is and have the tire place take the nail out and patch it. I could take it off and put on the spare from the trunk, or I have a set of winter tires, so I could use one of those as a spare. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

Update: So I ended up just pulling the nail out, and as it turned out, it was shorter than a thumb tack and probably didn't get through much of the tread at all. I don't think it pierced through everything so I'll continue to monitor the pressure in case there is a tiny leak, but overall it seems to be ok. No further issue here.
