Default clutch upgrade with Turboxs st.2?

Would a new upgraded clutch be a good idea when running the Turboxs stage 2 package or am I just asking for tranny trouble?

Also, is there any advantage to slipping an upgraded clutch at launch?

Smile clutch w/ stg 2

If you have the money, swap the clutch out. I didn't have problems for about 7,000 mi. Then, clutch began to slip after launching car one or two times in succession. I just added bigger IC and it slips regularly. Stock clutch can only last so long w/ stg 2. If you got the money, save yourself the embarrassment of having your clutch go up in smoke at the line.

I say save the money for later when you actually have more power. I've been driving around on stage 4 with the stock clutch for some time now. You'll be fine, just don't launch it real hard. Yes I am getting a new clutch, but why not get the full use out of your stock one first.

Any recomendations on clutchs for the txs stage 2, after the stock one is shot? I dont think I will go much further than stage two on engine mods (but isnt that what we all say?) so I would like a nice clutch to match and wont grab so hard I break something.

I pretty much decided on ACT street clutch kit. A lot cheaper than sti with more clamping pressure w/out harsh engagement compared to others(so I'm reading). There are companies selling entire clutch kit for under $500. Compared to sti at over 750.000
