Default 09 2.5i suspension

Does anyone know if there's any advantage to install a stock 09 suspension on to a 2.5i? Would it improve handling?

You'll probably get more responses if you update your profile with what you drive...

A stock '09 2.5i suspension on a '09 2.5i would be... Well... Stock...

Sounds expensive... for small gains. A swaybar and good tyres will do a LOT...

+1, especially if you still have the stock Bridgestone RE92 (brace yourself for the impending slide into a ditch at the slightest hint of moisture ) tyres.

Sways are probably the best bang-for-the-buck mod for the 08+ cars, but the 09 WRX rear bar is only 16mm (though still a drastic improvement compared to the 0mm bar on the 2.5i), personally I would go for the STI 18mm or the Rallitek 19mm bar.

One thing the sways won't do is manage the front-to-rear pitching, so if you want to retain stock ride height the 09 WRX springs/struts are a reasonable way to go, they have decent spring rates (and obviously matched damping) compared to the 2.5i.
This is the route i'm going, just haven't got around to the install yet.

Thx, the reason I asked is because I purchased some stock wrx springs/struts from another member for a pretty good price so I wanted to no if I'd see any gains
