Default 2013 BRZ Walkaround

I found a BRZ at the Ft. Lauderdale International Autoshow and shot this video. That my friend in the car - he actually just bought one.

Thanks for sharing! This might actually be a cool thread to share any walkaround videos for the BRZ that we can find. They're good for people trying to make a decision.

I didn't think I would, but I am starting to really like the Silver color on the BRZ.

Better then an STI's .... Though that's not saying much.

The standard Nav unit (comes w/ both premium and limited) isn't bad, and the over all speaker package is the best I've herd in a Subi - though again, that's not saying much.

Honestly though, it's pretty good. It will more then hold anyone over till they decide to invest in new speakers.

So it sounds like a slight improvement. I am just curious, I noticed the JBL tags on the FRS head unit, are they completely different systems? speakers? Factory JBL from Toyota sounds pretty good from my previous experience.

I like to keep everything factory, and I like to have a decent stereo in my brand new car. Just kinda curious before I make a purchase.

They definetly are completely different sound systems between the two cars. The Scion has a 500 watt system.

BRZ (at least in Canada) headunit is a Pioneer x940bt.

I'm pretty sure the BRZ has a Pioneer deck. It should be easy to check if they navigate through the unit to see it's tech info. I've been trying to confirm this just to gauge how expensive the unit is and what it's resale value might be.

I thought I saw that the speakers are the same, but the head units, and therefore amps, are different and could be of differing quality.

But as others have said. It's better than the WRX/STI speakers, by you know, a fraction. I'd say the STI speakers are a 4.5/10 and the BRZ speakers are 5.5/10

I guess the speakers could be the same - maybe when someone does there system we will know for sure.

But I would agree that they deserve a 5.5 of 10

I've read other's experiences of just swapping the head unit and getting decent sound from the stock speakers. I did the opposite, I got quality aftermarket speakers and kept the stock unit. TONS better, but would be much more magical with a new Pioneer unit that I've been wanting since before it even was released.

I agree that the speakers should always be the first fix.

That is some good input from you all on the speakers! Thanks! A dealer has a black limited in stock but... I owe to much money on my truck so I can't get it oh well maybe next year.

The only thing I really do not like about the car so far is the wheels. They should have just stuck with one color.

Waiting a year may not be sooo bad - you may see a BRZ STI anouncec in the next year ...

I agree about the wheels - they would be the first thing I changed on the car.
