Default Jdm ej205 in bugeye wiring question

So everything is put into my bugeye. Every bolt is tighten and plugged in. I prdered the engine harness since i sold mine, but i said hey what the hell i try to start it. It would try to start then die right away immediately. Is this because of the jdm engine harness being different?

Its the only ting i could ink of why it isnt turning over for longer. Not trying to drive it just check to see condition of motor.

That and give it just a little bit of revs (2000 rpm) to help it keep going for a minute or so then allow it to idle. Make sure oil pressure is fine before doing so!

I tried but couldnt drain it all, but most of it i did. Then i put alittle abit pf gas and it helped it very very little. So il put more gas and see what it does after i install the harness.

I got the car running and it wouldnt idle with the maf plugged in i believe, couldnt do much testing because there was small sparka near the cluch cylinder and so i turned the car off, after that it wouldnt start back up or crank at all. So im going to check ground wires and the starter tomorrow.

I put some octane booster in the tank to get rid of the small amount of bad gas in there and put about 2 gallons of 91 to help it out.

You have a pre-2002 EJ205 in a bugeye?
If It's a 2000-2002, you should look at the EJ207 owner's thread. You have a very similar situation with what is there.
As far as wiring harness that is on the engine, keep the JDM one.
You can repin, if needed. Also, download the wiring diagram of your EJ205, it will have a clear description of the pins in the main connectors.
Then you can trace the pins for the JDM harness.
In the EJ207 you don't have to repin anything anyway, so I doubt you have to with the 205.
You have AVCS, but most likely TGV's too.
Are you using the JDM ECU that comes with this engine?

Did you install the usdm cam gears? You have to do this in order for this swap to work if you're using the usdm ecu. Hope that helps.

Its a shame to not use a jdm ecu with avcs. Much less work and a better result then using usdm cam gears.

You can find the ecu's around. Im using a v7 jdm sti ecu tuned with open sorce and it works great. The wiring is no big deal.
