TPMS question... will OEM fit Rotas? 08 STI

Hello!

Thanks in advance for reading/posting as this is an important issue for me. Below are all the details you need to know and feel free to question/comment as needed.

I purchased a set of Rota G-Forces and had them powdered a nice color blah blah blah. Despite my ignorance thinking TPMS only needed valves and not the sending units I overlooked needing them. Now... when I have the free time to install the tires my oversight is haunting me.

Now the question: what can I do (besides pulling my OEMs and TRYING to transfer them to the Rotas) to get the Rotas to register with the TPMS in my 08 STI? My guess is to purchase OEM at teh dealership and have them install it in the wheels when I get them mounted and balanced. I checked at a few tire places and they all said I need to procure them myself and I see no other option.

Can someone please enlighten me? A few other questions:

1) can I tune out my TPMS issues when I go to the tuner and get some work done?

2) is the dealership my only option?

3) besides pulling out the bulb; what else can I do to not have the (lack of) TPMS register?

4) Is it even possible to install OEM TPMS equipment onto Rotas?

EDIT: keeping OEM wheels for winters and want to avoid pulling them for summers. Also was told the option to roll with TPMS sensor warning with the Rotas and to install the OEMs for inspections/winter. I basically want everything in working and functional order 24/7

1. NO, the system is separate from the ECU.

2. NO. Any tire shop with the tools can program the sensors. Actually finding a tire shop now that can't do this should be hard given that TPMS in vehicles has been a requirement since 2008.

4. Yes, there are other valve stems of various styles/sizes that can be used. Worst case there are universal band mounts where you can put the sensor in the well of the rim and not on the valve stem.
