Default To flash from Stage I to Stage II?

I am stage I 04 WRX right now, and have a catless up and a catless dp in the mail. When I install them, do I just plugg up the AP (mine is a v1) and select stage II and flash it or does it have to be put back to stock map and then reflashed to stage II?

Cobb, Have there been any updates to the stage II map that could be different from the map on it for Stage II? I guess what I am asking is has it been revised or changed? How do I find out which map is on my AP if this is the case.

Just plug in and flash to Stage 2. No need to revert back to stock. Enjoy the increase in power!

Yes, you can just flash to stage 2 - there are no intermediate steps necessary.

The version 1 AccessPORT is quite old hardware and had reached its "end of life" for us years ago. As such, there is no development on that front. You can check out the last maps for the v1 that were available at the time by going to the maps section at cobbtuning.com and selecting the "map archives" link.

We do have ground-up recent revisions of the 2.0L maps for the version 2 AccessPORT, however. You might want to consider our $200 trade-in program for the v1 towards the purchase of a v2 AccessPORT (details in link below). Besides the new maps for the 2.0L cars, you will also get standalone data logging and live data viewing, launch control for manual transmission cars, free AccessTUNER Race tuning software, and more.
