What up what up! New around here, and just picked up my first WRX from another member on here that lives in SD. When is the next meet? Didn't want to have to go thru every page of this thread to figure it out. The first page or 2 said every other Wednesday. Can someone please fill me in? I'd like to check out some of your rides to get some ideas.

Here's a pic of mine, it's basically stock, with 18" 5 Zigen that I plan on getting rid of for something in a gunmetal or white.

Looking forward to meeting up with you all.

Looking forward to making it back again next week. Hope the new year has been good to everyone so far. I've got some stuff I'm trying to clear out, figure I'll give you all first dibs.

Alpine M500 AMP: $150 and I'll give you 2 Kenwood 12" Subs(no enclosure). KFC=W3003 I never used them.

Set of Nitto SN2 Studdless Snowtires mounted on bronze 04 WRX stock rims. Ran em TWICE last year(stupid mother nature) so they're like brand new. 205/60/16 which means they elevate your ride just a bit and handle great. Looking to get $500 obo.

08 DGM WRX Spoiler- $75

Tanabe DF210 lowering springs for 08+ WRX/STi. 1.5 inch drop.
Have 10k mi. on them. $150 obo.

See ya'll next week.

Can I get some quick help..
On my 09 wrx, do you think 17x9 rpf1 +35 will be ok? Going to buy a set today if this will fit without losing performance. Someone drop some wheel knowledge please. Stock offest on 09 is +53 or +55.

what size tires? are you dropped on coils? camber??

i let my friend borrow the BBS' I'm selling, he put them on his 09 WRX. 18x8.5 +35 with 245/40 tires. Fully stock, they rubbed to hell.

I have nada. Would like 245 tires. I am prepared to go coilovers, rolled and pulled fenders, but i dont want a **** load of camber... I just want to have most of my tire on the ground. I wish I understood anything about wheel fitment or more

For sure you'd need to, at least, roll your fenders on stock suspension. A pull will depend on your ride height and camber, once you get coilovers...

Hey since you guys talking about fender rolling and rims I had a question...is it dangerous to do it I wouldnt want my new car getting messed up...cuz i want to get some rims some 18x8.5 or 9 I'm not good with tire fitment but I read +45 and up was good enough to fit on stock height and if I lower it on springs also without fender rolling or would I still need fender rolling?? (Oh and its for 2013 sti)

It really comes down to the tire size you want with those options. I don't think you'll have any issue though. I'm in a 12 WRX with 18x9 +35 on 255/35/18s, no issues. My rears are rolled from my previous set up but they don't need to be, I have a lot of room still.

Hope that helps. Also search for "guide to fitting wheels/ tires" there's a thread on this that helped me a lot.

Steve,

they will fit, probably rub on hard corners or bumps. look at the pictures of Myles' (from RCE) previous 2009 WRX on 18x9 +35 Rota G-Forces. it will have the same fitment (only smaller diameter of course) mounted on STI take offs (245/40/18):

on stock suspension

One more dumb question... Is it the offset that will make me rub or width of wheel?

It's a combination of the two. You could rub on an 8 in wheel if the offset is low enough. It's all about finding the balance between the so you can fit the biggest wheel and tire

it depends on who's doing it. good fender rollers won't damage a thing. you won't have a problem with that size, but it will depend on what offset, tire size, and camber you want to run...

What Jordan said. Remember that its ok to run some camber. Just watch out for the toe. Camber doesn't chew up tires as bad as toe.

Anyone interested in my nameless axleback muffler delete? I just put on the catless downpipe and the nameless 3in midpipe.... oh boy let me tell you with no mufflers its way to much for street use. So im going to buy there 5in muffled axle back and put in a cut out valve so I can flip it open and still enjoy the crazy sound on occasion Basically its the 3in double wall staggered tip set up. Ill hit it with some metal polish on the tips and it will look brand new
