This is for a 2010 STi. I had the car tuned for a Dom 1.5xt-r with FMIC and all supporting mods for E85. Grimmspeed up pipe and pnp manifold with high flow cross pipe , ID1000, deschwerks 65c, one step colder plugs, Perrin FMIC and CAI, Grimmspeed 3 port, Cobb BPV.

So far three times now after being tuned my ABS, traction control, and hill assist lights have came on at the same time. But no check engine light. Each time this occurs I shut car off and then turn it back on and everything is normal again.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Please help

Thank you,

Sometimes when you reflash the car and clear the codes you will get a CAN line timeout code in the ABS system. Turning the ignition off for a couple seconds and back on will clear the time out code. When you reflash you are supposed to turn the ignition off once it uplaods, wait a few seconds and turn it back on again to prevent this. Dont just start the car after a reflash, turn the ignition off, that way it clears the time out codes.

Another perspective here, but keep in mind this happened to me previous to any modification work on my '09 WRX, so your situation may be related to the reflash as UK above me stated. I had this happen repeatedly and found posts about faulty brake light switches causing those lights to illuminate with no CEL. They would go away when I restarted the vehicle but generally show up after a couple of brake pumps. Personally, my issue went away after I had to crush the brakes to not hit a stray dog crossing a street before I had a chance to replace the part (may or not be related). It's a cheap and easy swap though. I believe another option was a steering sensor or something? I googled "VDC, ABS, and Incline Assist lights WRX" or something similar and that was the general consensus. Hope this helps.

thats a common issue. my buddies 08 did the same thing. he went under there and adjusted the switch a few notches. no more lights. you probably could have done that yourself and saved from going to the dealer 2 times.

It could be the brake light switch but I use to have 3 light on Dash appear. Take it to the dealership. I'm sure it's still under warranty

When I brought my WRX to the dealer and they couldn't find the issue. I need to drive the car to dealer with the symbol lights on so they can look them up. When I brought it in they were not on and they couldn't fix the issue. It (light symbols) come on randomly.

I will do my best to drive the car to the dealer with the lights on but when it comes on Im at work smh.

I have this issue when I turn off VDC and then end up stopping on a steep hill. Only happens when VDC is off though. Anybody else have this happen when? it's not too big a deal for city driving for me so I mostly ignore it but I dunno if this might help you guys in some way...
