Default Next-gen Hyundai Genesis reveals new skin on 'Ring

Autoblog: http://www.autoblog.com/2013/04/17/n...-skin-on-ring/

The launch of the next-generation Hyundai Genesis is drawing closer and closer, and this latest set of spy shots gives us our best look yet at the Korean automaker's new sedan. Caught testing on the Nürburgring, we're not only getting a better look at the finer details of the Hyundai's exterior, but this set of photos gives us a clear view inside the cockpit, as well.

For its new generation, the Hyundai Genesis appears to be moving a bit more upmarket in terms of materials and layout, with a redesigned steering wheel, gauge cluster and center stack. The current car's analog clock appears to be left intact, smack dab in the middle of the heating and cooling controls, but the rest of the updates look decidedly more modern and, if we're honest, a bit German.

Outside, it's obvious that the new Hyundai will wear a more aggressive front fascia, along with what appears to be a more rakish rear deck. Earlier reports have stated that the next Genesis will be much lighter than the current car, and with a much more sporty tune to the suspension. We'll know more when the car is officially revealed, though it's still unclear exactly when that will be.

Hyundai needs to reserve some track time for the Genesis coupe. Still, this and the rumored weight reduction are good steps in the right direction.

I do not like the looks of the Transmission.

Hyundai’s 2nd Gen Genesis Coupe Spied – To be launched at 2014 Detroit Motor Show

Quote:
New Delhi: Nurburgring circuit has become paradise for people who are keen about knowing brand new models prior to the respective official launch. A large number of models have been spied on the circuit over past few weeks and now to the surprise of all, Hyundai’s Genesis prototype has been spied on the same track.

As the manufacturer has unveiled an upgrade of the Genesis Coupe earlier this year, nobody expected another upgrade this much sooner and thus the news become hot topic over web. A person has managed to grab few snaps of the respective test mule at the track and the pics have also gone viral. But it is also informed that Hyundai has indulged in testing the next generation Genesis coupe test mule in the cold weather which was also informed to be spied recently in Sweden.

The upcoming 2ng Gen Genesis Coupe is likely to be powered with the same 3.8 liter V6 engine as well as the 5.0 liter V8 engine respectively. But it is informed that both the engines are going to be upgraded to optimize the performance and stability and also to increase the power output a bit comparatively than the earlier versions. Both engines might get accompanied to the same 8 speed automatic transmission gear box initially. But the manufacturer might opt for 10 speed slush box transmission gear box to the top end variants which will be unveiled later.

The respective test mule spied was fully covered with camouflage and thus we may not get much information about the model from the spy snaps. But it can be observed that the frontal grille of the model seems to be similar to that of the HCD – 14 Genesis concept and Hyundai is likely to opt for the dual exhaust tip on the rear. It is informed already that Hyundai is going to expose the 2ng Gen Genesis Coupe for the first time at the Detroit Motor Show of the year 2014 and is likely to launch the vehicle in the market by the end of 2015.
It says Genesis Coupe but shows the 4-door Genesis, so not sure what's going on there. And also, no manual for the 2nd gen Genesis coupe?
