Default Nitrous on 2.5RS?

Nobody here run nitrous on their cars? I have a 05 2.5RS, soon to have delta 1500 grind cams, super tech sprigs and retainers, I already have 4-1 EL headers, catless 2.25" exhaust, and Injen CAI. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with nitrous on their cars. I found a kit for my car from the company NOS, which puts out 35-75 HP, in 10 HP increments, while using the stock injectors/fuel pump to supply the extra needed fuel via TPS sensor or full throttle micro switch.

Ps. I hope im in the right area here, I wasn't sure on where to post this.

I Drive And 04 Rs With Very Similar Mods Except Im Catted. I Spray A 75 Shot With No Problems Non Tuned With The Zex Kit. Its Very Fun To Say The Least Lol. One Word Of Advice... Make The Gap Of Your Spark Plugs Smaller Anytime You Want To Spray Or You Will Burn The End Off Of It. Bad Deal!

Thanks man! Good to know. How about running a colder plug? Bad idea? Idk I'm very familiar with nitrous on v-twins, but not in cars, even though it's the same concept. How was the install? How did u setup your secondary fuel? You should post a thread on your build. Id be very interested to see details, and problems you had if any.

I run a wet kit. Works perfect. Except I have no nitrous tune. I need something with an output switch. It runs very good. I'll check jet the sizes and get back to you. I did use zex nitrous plugs but while I wasn't spraying it did idle funy. I found that factory plugs work perfect but I closed the gap to half of what it's supposed to be.

Not to say that it's "safe" but when you add enough extra fuel it's basically synthetic boost. I've ran a little more than 13 full bottles through my car and I have not had anything bad happen. (fuel mileage, oil consumption, engine noise) I actually recently did a compression check and pulled 182-185 on all four cylinders. Sounds crazy but when I spray a couple times the crappy piston slap will actually go away for a short period of time. Seems to swell the pistons. Colder plugs are nice if you will be spraying all of theta but I did notice a low idle problem with them. The ONLY negative thing I will say about it is that I keep going through aic valves... I think the nitrous freezes them. Also one more note, DO NOT place the fogger to close the throttle body it WILL freeze the throttle plate open. And to answer your fuel question just make sure whatever kit you buy is a wet kit. It will allow you to tap your supply fuel line and add fuel into the intake with the nitrous and keep you from running lean. I just dropped my heads and delta 1500's off at the shop to be rebuilt. How do you like them?

I just dropped them off with the heads yesterday. I've got my arp rad studs on the way and a set of pistons. Then the machine shop will be next

Honestly I have not givin it much thought. I think I want to keep them at the factory dish because I've got sti head gaskets and it should bump the compression up a little bit. I can't really find a set of aftermarket pistons to retain the factory compression ratio... Everything I've seen so far are low compression turbo pistons. Have you seen anything else?

I have seen some 11.2:1 pistons, but nothing at the stock 10:1. I'm considering the 11.2:1 pistons, but idk. I really don't wanna rip the whole motor apart, or pay for the labor lol

Really tearing down and re-assembly isn't too bad. Just pay for the machine work. 11.2 would be awesome but I'm not sure how well it would do with nitrous. Maybe too much compression?

Idk about that either. As long as u do the bearings in the bottom end and maybe new Rods I bet It would hold up. I found a 2.7 liter stroker kit that would be cool but it's like 2600 bucks. It would be sick 11.2:1 compression with a 2.7 stroker kit. You would have so much torque it would be ridiculous.

Washington state. It's tough to get any information up here. A lot of people with turbo cars and not many with na cars. Kinda have to shoot from the hip
