Hey Guys -
I'm trying to get a feel for what the most popular brands of gauges are out there. while you're at it if you feel like plugging in which ones you're running I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Defi 'racer' series of stand-alone gauges.
Currently: 52mm / blue / boost-gauge / Subie Gal dash-pod; will keep On order: SMY gauge-cluster bezel To be ordered: Defi blue racer 52mm temperature (oil) and pressure (oil) gauges. Will more-than-likely order a Defi 'extension cord' for the temperature gauge sender, which will be located in the KBM oil pan and a remote pressure sending unit hose kit, in order to utilize the rear block port due to the DBW design of the TB. ******* I chose these gauges for their inherent quality and their stand-alone feature. |

I used to have Prosport Boost and Oil Pressure, but I had a problem with them lasting over a year or so. They looked great, cost is decent, but the gauges themselves have longevity issues. At least for me.
I want some Defi's ![]() |

My experience has been best with Defi's premium lines. I run IMP and EOP meters and nothing else. However I am probably not part of the popular meter population, it will probably end up being ProSports (yuck) or (I can only hope) Defi Racers.
Would not even think to take an Autometer or ProSport out of it's box before I tossed it into traffic. I tend to be really really picky on meters. Have used quite a few meter brands through out the cars I have worked on, including Autometer, Stewart Warner, VDO, Greddy, Blitz, ApexI, Defi, and a few others. Since Defi Links are discontinued I would opt for Advance CRs. I recently wanted to try Stack ProControls but not sure how much they integrated after Autometer bought them. Defi Racer series would be at the top of my list. Quality gauges that don't require a control unit which helps save on cost.

I have Omori in mine now. I've used autometer in the past. Both are very good.
I've had the displeasure of installing prosport. They are garbage I would never put them in my own car. |
