Default I have no flashers

Ok i have a 2007 wrx tr with about 44,000 miles on it. The other day i go to hit my flashers and nothing in front and the lights are on constantly in back. Turn signal work fine. Brake lights work fine. The only two things i have done to the electrical is to add a 24 inch 12v led strip in the trunk for better illumination and i added a 12v led strip as my third brake light at the top of my rear window. I bought thinking i wouldn't need to add any capacitors to make them work plus neither of them should really effect the flashers. Is there a relay that may have gone bad? I am hoping maybe someone has some experience with these as i really don't. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer. If i didn't post some relevant info let me know.

the fact that something happens when you hit the switch tells me that the switch is probably working.

could be the "flasher unit" which should be near some relays (whereever the click comes from when you have a turn signal on). It's not technically a relay but they usually are about the same size (most of the one I've seen are round not square) it should be labeled somewhere. Pull it out, go buy a new one at autozone or whatever and try it.
