Default Xd9 help. Please

Ok i ordered some work emotion xd9's. 17x9.5 offset +17. The place i got them from called me back a day later saying that work told them 17x9.5 wont work on my car and that i need to go 18 so the hub can clear or something like that Does anyone have that rim size and offset ? You come across any problems. I really dont want to run 18's

Why not 18's?

Either way they will take significant work to fit your car, and you didn't even tell us what car you drive/own.

That's a custom size, never seen them. 18x10 +18 seems to be the most common size, next to the 18x9 +40.

Oops sorry. Ima scooby newbie. I have 05 sti. I dont want 18s cause its too big for me. I didnt want to roll my fenders with 18s And plus ill be one inch higher from the ground. Its not a custom size. Work offers it and 18 x10 is more expensive. 10 inches is too wide for me. The tires will be more expensive too

1.) the ride height will be the same - tire sizes scale so overall diameter will be unchanged whether you have 16"s or 18"s.

2.) not much difference in 9.5 to 10".

3.) if you don't want to roll, those wheels are WAY too big. If you want no fender mods, stick to a 8-8.5" wheel with a 40-48 offset.

17x9.5" +17 will literally require the same amount of fender work as the 18x10 +18 - roll AND pull.

Thats the thing tho. I want that lip. I want a low offset. I dont mind rolling and pulling the fenders. 18 just seems too big for me.

You need to do a lot more research before ordering wheels. The offsets your looking at would require a lot of work not only to the fenders / quarters, but also suspension to get the negative camber needed. And 18s are not too big, you just get correct tire size to keep the same rolling diameter. You will have a larger choice of wheels in the width and offset you are looking at in 18s.

THEN YOU NEED NARROWER HIGH OFFSET WHEELS.

seriously. You REALLY need to do a lot of reading because you are ALL over the place and have NO idea what you are doing or how to do it. You can't just throw on some low offset wide wheels and expect it to look like something on the fatlace blog.

Gettin wheels "flush" is a combination of wheel width and offset. You cant have wide wheels and low offset if you are worried about fender mods.

9.5 +17 would be sticking outside the fenders.
