But the kelford also has more lift @11.55 over a 280 duration vs the S3s @11.33 over 282, so there are differences that can sway someone in either direction so I think either is a good choice

Definitely not sir!

That's good you have got to see the different characteristics of both cam and might have to mix things up in the future the next time I pull the engine!

I'm just happy to have it up and running with great results from my current setup so now I will focus on drivetrain with some better axles and driveshaft in the very near future

Plan on taking it to the strip this week actually to see what this bastard is capable of down the 1320 in complete interior minus spare tire! ;-)

Haha yeah, my goal with this car since I bought it was to keep it street oriented but be able to take to the track and crack off a mid-to-low 10 sec pass ;-)

You will love it. They make great stuff. Most drag Hondas here run their axles

Are you planning to go on Sat. 11th on Test & Tune? I'd really like to see this beast in action.

Yea, driveshaft and rear axles from them seems like a wise idea with the amount of torque this thing is making now lol

Most likely unless there is a day during this week that the track is open...

I thought I heard someone saying that it's also open Tuesday and Thursday as well?

Congrats man! Must be an animal!! Quick question though, (I didn't read through all the comments so idk if this was answered), did you not get the full picture of the graph sheet? I ask because if your heads are fully built and you're running 280 cams, you should be revving that to roughly 8,000-8,500 rpms if not a little more. That turbo has plenty of power to keep spooling up high.

I'm getting tuned the 16th, hoping to make 450-500 on pump

Revving it higher is not going to make any more power

If I hold it out to 8000rpm on the dyno, the whp line is just going to stay flat, longer...

Redline is 8k and there is no reason to go any higher!

Yeah but wouldn't you want to make sure on the dyno before you brought it to the track that your fuel system is working properly and everything is safe to bring it up to 8000? Idk, maybe it's just me.

def agree if your going to run it higher than you did on the dyno you should def log it at the least. and revving it out could def be beneficial if it held power and what not. longer time in between shifts, maybe not have to grab 5th.

As soon as the car got off the dyno, we did street logs doing a wide open 1-4 pull with me shifting right @ 8k and the logs were dead on!

Nate is no slouch and has been responsible for tuning some the highest hp sti/evo in the tri-state area and many big name people in either car community would agree, so if he says everything looks good, that's all the assurance I need!

OOOOo so you did do some hi rpm pulls. That's all i was saying. I just thought it would be dumb to not have your tuner around for the first 8000rpm run. But you did so it's all good.

Yep, all is well!

Nate even text me later that day as well as the day after to make sure everything was good with the car!

He is a no bull**** type of person, which I think is what you need in a tuner...

He will tell you if something doesn't look right with the car's setup, tune due to problems elsewhere, etc and not spoon feed you what you want to hear just to make people happy or lie to them and tell them they need to buy more **** since they can't figure out the problem because that is what agile auto did to me like 3 years ago before I met Nate!

Here is a video and better graph picture from saturday!

(Excuse my friend Ryan and I who are on the side of the dyno deciding who should stand closer to the engine bay if a piston were to shoot out, and enjoy Nate's hilarious laugh after the pull as well lol)

I also included the comparison graph between this and the previous tune for you people who love to compare things

ENJOY!

Thanks!

It was a really fun day because I got my sti to make over 600 and my buddy JT's drag evo that is sponsored by the shop, made its first run on the dyno for its "break-in" tune on a brand new curt brown racing 2.0L making 640+whp on 33psi lol
