Hey guys, I have purchased a little bit a ago a 2000 impreza rs with a EJ20k motor, rings have already been replace and used a STI-RA ECU. Also Contains rallispec gears and a 4.44 final drive. Pictures soon to come. I intend to do supsenstion work but I wanna ask the community is there anything I should focus on first with the swap? I dont know much about the JDM motors but what I could learn about the EJ20k would be great. I been trying to search for stock information on the car. Ultimatly the goal for me is about 400hp.

The car already has an engine swap that runs?
First thing to do assuming you have a running car is figure out what you want to do with it. Fun DD, AutoX, Track days, Drag, show car.... Once you know that you can figure out what mods are for you and which are not. Have fun with it. |

There are PLENTY of top mount options for the 20K. If you get that front mount plumbed in you won't even need a tune. Which VF turbo does it have? Stock it'll have either the 22, 23 or 24 or 28 if it's from a Type-R/RA.

The EJ20K engines are very fragile, they have an appetite for rod bearings. Rebuild the engine (uprate rods while at it) if you want to run more power reliably.
