Default Collision repair - where to go?

Had a tire thread fly into the front of my car, cracking my bumper and then going under and ripping apart some of the plastic coverings...Took the car to 'Auto Body World' on Elliot/McQueen and got an estimate - front bumper replacement, replacement of the plastic coverings under the car + alignment.

Subaru superstore outsources their work to San Tan Collision center - where to go? The subaru/san tan collision center OR Auto Body World - it's a simple repair - bumper replacement + paint + alignment.

Any of you have experience with either? I'd rather do the dealership but they have a 3rd party shop do the car anyway, although they did say that they are 'subaru certified'....

Any opinions?

I had very similar damage (cracked bumper cover, missing pop-in bits, and shredded wheel liner (fyi, it's one piece that covers under the engine, so it'll all be replaced), and just got mine fixed. Sergei at Subiworx hooked me up with his in-house body shop and fixed my car up, for much less than the dealer-referred shop quote. Not much more than my deductible, so I just did it out of pocket. Troy (the guy who fixed my car) did it over the weekend (mom and pop kinda shop)... dropped it off on Friday, picked it up on Sunday.

So far, it looks great.

Call Sergei at 480-399-3646 or email. Tell him you're on NASIOC and he should be able to help you out.

Otherwise, check out my thread on the same thing for other recommendations from folks here. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2359467

Oh wow...seems you had pretty much the same thing happen to you. I am going through insurance since my deductible is only $50 - so as long as it's done right doing whatever is necessary I don't care where I take it really but thank you though, I'll look them up and see what they can do for me

My deductible was $500, so it was pretty much a wash. Plus, I'm able to keep it off my insurance... I didn't get it fixed through ins back when it happened in October 'cause of complicating issues with my insurance at the time.

Sure is nice to have my car all in one piece again. Good luck with yours.
