Default swapping??

So I have a paid off 2007 impreza 2.5i. I just bought a totalled 2007 STI, can I literally swap every non broken piece to the 2.5i? Shouldn't literally everything swap over since the two chassis are the same?

You're going to be more specific. LITERALLY there is a thread out there that covers this, but without telling us what parts you want, it'd be hard to LITERALLY tell you what can.

im thinking of doing this with my 2011 2.5i. almost paid off. But I am thinking of using a wrx block and going from there. not sure what modifications and fabrications would be required but i have some spare time on my hands lately. Make it a sleeper.

FLAME ON lol

I can probably contribute something to this thread that isn't abuse from a moderator. The best way to go about that is to sway over everything that you can. Front and rear subframes, axles, hubs, suspension, fuel tank, all the wiring harness, gauge cluster, seats... You can probably plan on having your a/c system evacuated so that you can take the whole front of the car off. Then decide what engine accessories you want to swap from the other car. I personally would hold on to any part you take off your car for awhile just in case you have a component failure.

That's not abuse. There literally are a number of threads that cover this exact question.

If the 07STi is all there its just a swap all parts to make it work. The fastest way is gut the STi then gut your car then reinstall all the STi in your car.

end/thread

Well I happened to find an ad on Craigslist of an 06 2.5i that had everything from an sti swapped in, so yea, it's literally possible.
