Decipher: did I miss a post where someone kicked Dan in the teeth? All the reviews here that mention Dan are very positive. I even said I like him personally....

Joe and Dan are good peoples. Grand has great CSI scores so they clearly do well with customers overall.

I know it's in this thread somewhere, and I'm having trouble searching / finding the right posts. I live in a front plate state. Where can I find the bracket I need to mount the front plate on the stock mounting holes and not have the dealer drill into the bumper?

Totsubo makes it. We only have enough left to give to our sold order customers for free, but here is a link that some have had success with:

Nope. I was told 6-8 weeks when I ordered. Now they are singing the tune of December. No nav either. Mad.

Im in just about the same boat. 7 weeks in. Given the same 6-8 weeks, possibly 10-12 (dealer said thats what they tell their customers). No Navi. SWP base. "base" as in the most generic platform. ETA December. Thats not anywhere near the 6-8 weeks told. At least were weren't put on hold (yet) and we weren't pushed back to january or February like some were. It still is frustrating though, especially hearing how some dealers are getting multiple wrx's, and my dealer has yet to see one.

Nice, I ordered ISM base hatch from Clayton 10/2 and we have Swpsti2013 who ordered from Clayton also. Keep us up to date with your order.

Today's the day. I got two hours of sleep last night. They called yesterday saying ETA from 10/8 is moved up to 10/19. They said it was on a truck, and should be delivered. Supposedly, my dealership does not accept Saturday delivery so, if that is true and it doesn't come today, it will be Monday. VIN 6305

I'm going to try to get some free accessories out of it. When I ordered the car I said I didn't want to wait longer than 8 weeks. The dealer told me it's never taken longer than 8 weeks to get one. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sucks too cause my birthday is next Tuesday. Would have been a great gift to myself haha. I ordered a SWP base too. Now there is a wicked white evo X sitting on the lot down the road from me. I should probably stay away from it or I'll end up driving it home.

I was originally looking at a used evo x, test drove it and all. But APR is cheaper on a new car. Plus i've always loved subaru's, especially the sound. I've always driven honda's, and could never see issues like this happening to them(not saying honda's are better, theres reasons I'm buying a Subaru). My dealer has been super supportive in my wait, I'm just frustrated with SOA. Last time i called(monday 10/8) the women told me not to call the dealer till after thanksgiving for an update. I expect to have my car by then, not just an update. A little statement from Subaru about the delay would be nice, especially when we are spending 30k on these cars.

Oh the evo is brand new at the mitsu dealer. I love those cars but I just can't get over how bland the interior is. Plus I'm like you and dig the boxer rumble and other things.

Pisses me off too that SOA cannot tell me why my order is pushed back to December. At the very least an explaination would be nice but I can't even get that.

Another very positive experience with Dan @ Grand.

I live in MI and I went with the suggestion of Grand Subaru from my buddy. My first car buying experience and the whole process from start to finish was very easy. The initial inquiry took place via email. I told him what I wanted, he told me his best price. Here was the hardest part - choosing between SWP and DGM. Once I decided I let Dan know and he placed the order (ordered in Oct, delivery in Dec). Took a train to Chicago with my buddy and drove the WRX back home. Easy as pie.

I think the waiting period from order to delivery makes the experience more exciting. I understand for some it may be frustrating, especially when their date gets pushed, or lack of allocation. If you want something at the drop of a hat, go buy a car that is produced in huge volumes like Ford's.

Why they can't release a general statement is beyond me. Love isn't what makes a subaru a subaru..... It's long wait times without answers

Just went through 7 pages of posts and you guys got me all pesimistic now T.T Hopefully my dealership isn't one of those that just keep taking orders without enough earned allocation. Interesting enough they are the only dealer around here with a 2013 WRX premium sedan in the showroom. Too bad I'm a hatch guy =( Though the sedan looks very good!!

PS: Anyone else from Utah ordering one? What's your status?
