Just a bit shy of 9%; not sure for doc fees, and the MSRP is $35040

Win-win for Subaru and we get the wider STi track.

Not that we didnt know but he also said theyve gotten a huge number of orders for the wrx and sti, more so than any other year.
I wonder if that ship is primarily WRX/STIs. Another ship, the Leo Leader(which has a Forester for a customer of ours) showed to be crossing the Panama Canal with the update 7 hours prior to my post. That one is due in port on 11/15.

Yah, I went and talked to Jenn because you recommended her earlier . We talked briefly about how you flew out and road tripped back .

Are those prodrives? I'm trying to decide between gold or white for my summer set. Was just going to use the stockers for winters, but depending on how much cash I have after putting a down payment in February I might get a set for my winters too. I would do gunmetal/black for a winter set though, easier to keep "clean" ;-).

So I finally got a call back, the vehicle they were trying to obtain is a sold car so they will not be able to get it (DUHHH). He finally gave me the VON and said the next allocate should be end of november and my car should be on it.... we'll see

If you just got your VON I highly doubt you get your STi within a month when Subaru is telling people 3-4 months now. Unless you get lucky and the dealer gets an allocation that matches what you want.

Thanks! Funny you mention that. My RA flaps are probably at my door right now. They shipped a couple days ago. Hopefully get those on this weekend.

Interesting they could even see that car. I know their system is different, but we can not see a sold order for another dealership in Subarunet at all.

Each state is different. You pay in other ways. VA still has a state income tax, right? TN does not but we pay roughly 9%. You pay 3% and then personal property tax(right?)((we don't have that either) on top of your income tax. It gets got some way!!!

We get screwed in VA when we trade to..we pay tax on the purchase price of the new vehicle, in TN you pay it on the difference

That's one good thing about AZ - trading the car in saves some tax on the new car, plus we don't have to pay taxes on private party purchases.

!!!
I'm sure 98% of what they are telling me is bs. I work at a very high end/high demand bodyshop and I know what it's like to bs someone. If we miss a completion date my boss will tell customers "if I get the car back to you early or on time and there is a problem you will never forgive me. But if it takes a few extra days and it's perfect you'll be mad at first but happy in the end"

After going in, "ordering a car", giving you the information on my auto loan and $500 deposit on parts. I expect some form of confirmation. But after 2 and a half weeks of silence and unanswered messages I get irritated.

I'm 26, this is my first "new car" and I didn't expect the run around I received. You should be honored that I chose you to buy a car from. I fully anticipated a few months wait on the car, but at least give me the closure that the car was ordered.

Now that I have the order number I feel okay, obviously still ehhh over the situation but it's confirmed. The only thing that could piss me off now is if I call SOA and they tell me it's not a real VON or if they cant get info on it brcause the order was submitted like yesterday lol

So I decided to call SOA yesterday evening just for ***** and giggles to see if they can give me anything different than what my saleman keeps telling me. Not to my surprised I was told my order (10/13/2012 Von same day) actually has a HOLD on it as the demand is way too high for subaru too process the order right now. The nice cust rep assured me I would still get my car "eventually". I tried to ask him to give me a rough estimate and he said he has seen customers that have waited 20weeks and still no car.

Though I'm still keeping up hope as my saleman keep promising me I would get the car by december. I just don't get how everyone here has to wait a few months to get their order yet those dealers in Cali has 15-20 on the lot or in transit. Subaru should request them to start shipping those cars out to other dealers to fill out orders haha.

So because of that I'm really considering contacting a dealer in SoCal and see if I can get a Premium trim WRX at invoice or so and drive one back. I read that driving long distance isn't good breaking of the car?

yup. all my local cali dealers have tons of wrx and sti.. but they are almost all sedans right now. and for any hatchbacks, all but 1 dealer is not moving from msrp. no cars have the exact options i want or i would consider it.

I saw quite a few hatch from dealers in Irvine and Fullerton. May be you should check that out. If they aren't budging below MSRP I'll just wait 4 months lol.

one local Subaru dealer in SF Bay Area will do about $2500 under sticker on any WRX or STI. still can't decide if i need the STI, and will prob never be able to decide.

I just got mine on Tuesday night and I was so excited to put them on that I spent the next 3 hours with a flashlight on the gravel in the cold installing them.

The inside screws are a pain without removing the wheels. I just had to put a philips bit in a socket wrench to tighten them.

Remember to only reverse on flat ground or you'll rip your bumper off.

11 weeks since ordering, still "on hold". My salesman is saying that there aren't enough Nav units.

SWP WRX Limited 4Dr w/Nav.

This is making me think twice about putting the mudflaps on. Kinda feel unsafe since there're a tons of pots and holes on the street here in utah and a lot of deep bumps.
