It actually depend on how faraway they are from port and how many option they have. You might just be really close to a port lol. I knew you would get it before your original ETA but I was expecting something more on the line of a week or less lol.

Really? They lent me a 2012 outback as well when I brought my car in for clearbra and I didn't think those car was fun. They were so much slower than my WRX. May be it was because I didnt floor it.

I'll second that lol!! My car has been in Chicago for 4-5 days (seems like 20 days). It's 3 hours away from here and my revised ETA is the 11th...

The more I think about, I could just take Friday off and take delivery...

I hope it comes tomorrow so they can throw the tint on and then pick it up Thursday evening!

Stir crazy!!!!!!!

Default SPT CBE on new car- take note

I ordered my WRX base PBP with the stock exhaust. Found out it costs less to have the dealer order/install the SPT CBE than it costs to factory order it (parts dept. gave me a discount). I get to keep the factory exhaust shipped with the car when they remove it. So I end up with two CBEs for less cost than factory-ordering the SPT CBE! If you want the SPT CBE on your new car, ask your dealer about installing it as an option. It may cost less that way plus you end up with two exhaust systems!

Good to know. I'm still torn on it myself. I do a lot of highway driving and have heard the droning can be pretty bad on the hatch, but there have been very mixed reviews so it's hard to know. I've gone through the whole exhaust thread and still can't come to a conclusion. "Loud" is such a relative term that its hard to make a decision based on other people's experiences. I figure I'll drive stock for a while and if I feel like I want to change then I will add it later.

That's the extra bonus in having the stock exhaust. I want the famous WRX boxer sound, but worry about the extra noise, especially for the rear passengers. I ordered the sedan, so hopefully it's not as loud inside the car as the hatch is. If its too much, I can put the stock CBE back on. I'm guessing the tuned SPT CBE will gain at least 5 HP over the stock 265 HP. Anyone know more about that?

I don't think you get any gain in HP.

FWIW, I had a 2011 hatch with SPT and it was very quiet inside.

I have a hatch with SPT exhaust too. I wouldn't say it's very quiet inside. However it definitely not loud. You will have some rumble which I think is one of the most awesome sound but nothing that will cause headache or annoyance.

I guess quiet is relative. Almost any exhaust will be louder inside, but that doesn't mean it will "drone" necessarily. Between my 05 wagon and 11 hatch I was always concerned about drone when looking at exhaust options. The SPT is a rather safe one on the newer hatches for people that want exhaust but not something real loud

Got the call this morning, my car came in last night! I'll either pick it up this afternoon after work or tomorrow morning.

Ordered: 8/22/12
WRB Limited 5 door with nav, SPT exhaust, and a few others.

I thought this day would never come
