Looking at the Cobb website it seems like you get a lot more bang for your buck at Stage 1, and not much difference going to Stage 2. I'm guessing Stage 2 is more about getting a better sound or something.

Looking good btw!
A '03 WRX with a TBE, FMIC, STi pink injectors, Fuel pump, AEM intake, and a protune. Bought it like that though, and it still had the stock TD04 turbo on it o_o . Just the 2.0L engine though, so I guarentee it's slower than a stock '13 STi.

However, it's just my butt dyno is broken. The tune on my WRX had low power until 3500 rpm when the Turbo finally kicked in and it would definitely throw you back into your seat. With my STi it feels really linear; quick, but lacks excitement. I also miss the loud ass rumble and intake sound :P.

I'm close to just going stage 1 and saying screw the warranty; at least it's a "safer" tune.

http://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-Acc...ower-gains-sti shows stage 2 as being a big power increase though too btw

Yeah I'm definitely going Stage 1 pretty soon myself. Just need to take care of a couple of other things first.

Funny I was looking at that same chart and concluded there isn't much difference. Sure the numbers look big, but if you look at the graph I don't see much there to support the numbers they put up there. There's a HUGE difference in peak HP between stock and stage 1, and then between stage 1 and stage 2 they're pretty much on top of each other.

Stage 1 OTS is definitely a good first upgrade if I didn't have to buy winter wheels and tires. Stage 2 does increase sound since a downpipe is added but it also increase your torque by quite a bit. From the graph it seems like stage one would give you much better top speed since it peaks out at higher RPM.

Does anybody know dealer invoice for 2013 cars sold through Subaru of New England dealers? Specifically looking for a 5 door base model WRX. I know SoA pricing is ~24370, but I've heard SNE prices are not the same can anybody helpe out? Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the 200 prior pages.

Thanks!!!

I believe they add $500 to every car that gets sold in New England

Just put a down payment on a 2013 STi Limited. White color, short shifter, all weather floor mats, auto dim with compass and opted out of the nav.

Extras going on the car may be (havent decided for sure) carbon fiber b pillars and upper spoiler.

Plus I get dealer cost on all parts and labor ($72) for life! Saved a couple hundred already.

Has anyone had any success in negotiating a decent price with in-transit cars?

I'm going to be discussing pricing/calculating trade-in value on one tomorrow and I'm wondering if they're going to tell me it's going to be marked up since it would be considered a "lot car" and not an ordered one where you tend to get better deals.

I got invoice. In-transit is much closer to an ordered car than a lot car in that the car is sold before it even hits the dealership. And remember at invoice they still make like 4% on the deal.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

That's good then, I'm hoping it goes as well as yours did. It's at a large volume dealership so I'm hoping that means I can get a better price since they tend to have a bunch WRXs in stock at any given moment.

You should be golden then.

I went to the largest dealer in CA, they sell about 30 WRX's a month. I asked them about the car, asked what the best price was and that other dealers offered me invoice for a factory order and they said they were happy to do the deal at invoice.

Forgot to mention, I went to the dealership on monday because I felt a slight shake every few secs at idle. When I went to go get it checked out, the mechanic said it's normal and it happens bc of the horizontally opposed motor.. He said lots of first time boxer owners had that complaint and then he went on to call it the "boxer bump".

Also asked him about how many cars he has seen for ringland problems and the mechanic said he hasn't seen a car with ringland problems since a year and a half. This is some good news

stage 1 makes the turbo spool start to spool at a lower RPM and the hp/torque curve is a lot more linear instead of pockets.. stage 2 is when you feel a really big difference in power. When I felt my friend's stage 2 wrx, it actually made my stomach turn.

I actually need to take mine in. I'm getting the weird jerking when I have the DCCD in "Lock" in 1st gear. Car basically won't move. It's fine if I leave it in Auto, Auto -, or Manual lower settings. Just tried it late yesterday since we got the first rain here since I got the car.

Kinda pisses me off actually.

I hope so, the car that is coming in is exactly what I would have ordered and if I can get it next month versus April or May I'd be a lot happier.

I wonder if it's similar to a V8, I had the same concern the first time I owned a car with a big V8 since the car shook a little at idle.

FYI for people that aren't getting a break on price... my dealer told me he could hook up a buddy of mine out of state that was inquiring about buying a car.

Said he could ship it to a local dealership no issue. FYI... bought mine for a 25k and some change w/ options included.

Seems like the average wait is about 3 months. when I ordered my WRX a couple of weeks ago and got my VON, my paper work said May as the ETA. But I'm guessing April which is fine with me.
