[quote="luan87us;39067059"]In Australia they have a Special Edition WRX in Australia in different colors. It comes with Brembo, STi spoiler, and the STi front lip spoiler.

Wow I'm jealous, I would have paid extra to get all that.

This. Every time. And not even a clue when your car might be done. At this point, I don't understand how it's possible to be so unorganized.

I need to step away from this thread. I'm still not fully recovered so I should be happy that my subie isn't here year.
Edit: ordered 12/9/2012 5dr limited w/ NAV, probably another 8 weeks.

It has only been one week and the waiting sucks so much.
Yep

7 weeks in, no update, no information. SOA says April for my ETA and I ordered 12/22.

4 weeks today when I ordered my WRX. I'm thinking mid to late April when I'll get it. Not too worried since we just picked up a White 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD this past Saturday.

You ordered a week before me; I'm at 3 weeks today. I'm expecting it the same time...some time mid to late April.

I'm in a dilema guys, help me weigh the options.

I've ordered a hatch with short throw shifter as the only upgrade for $21,952 OTD after trade in, TTL, etc. ETA is April (no deposit paid).

I found the exact same car within 20 miles of me at another dealership except it has the following upgrades: Short throw shifter, Auto dimming mirror with home link, All weather mats, rear bumper cover, rear cargo tray, exhaust finishers (yuck). All this for $23,686 OTD after trade in, TTL, etc. I can pick it up by the end of the week.

What should I do?

It would raise my monthly payments from $340-something to $360-something because of the add-ons. (I would like to say that I was going to buy the auto dimming mirror and floor mats and install it myself anyway after doing the research). It's only about $1600 more OTD for the upgrades, along with the fact that I get to pick up the car NOW....

I'm torn because I know it's a bit of a premium to pay for upgrades that I don't necessarily want/need. But I would also get the car NOW and satisfy my impatient OCD behavior and stop tearing my hair out. Any thoughts?

Have you finished negotiating with them or is that their first offer on price? I would try to get them down closer to what you are quoted for your original order, I'm sure they'd be happy to work with you to steal a sale from a neighboring dealer.

That said, if you really don't like the exhaust finishers I would say pass on it. It doesn't seem like you'd be able to take those off and return it to stock, and you gotta look at them every day...

I've been in this boat before, settling for something that wasn't quite what I wanted because I didn't feel like waiting 2 more months, and it was great at first but once those 2 months were up I regretted my decision every day after that.

Hmmm, thats a tough call. Ultimately you're going to have to make that call. You're going to be the one making the monthly payments. The all weather mats and rear cargo tray aren't permanent so maybe you could take them off the list??

You're at 7 weeks now already so if it were me I would prolly just keep waiting and pay less for exactly what I wanted/ordered. You can prolly get the auto dimming mirror for less then what they are going to charge you now.

Has your dealer given you any kind of update yet?

+1 those exhaust finishers are screwed into the bumper so your only choice would be a bumper swap, remove them and deal with ugly drill holes or paint/plastidip them.

Like meeno said I would just wait...it's exactly what you want and you don't have to sacrifice and live with the "what if" regret.

Thanks guys for all the help. I haven't been in to the dealer to negotiate anything, but over the phone he said he's pretty firm. It's basically invoice price plus accessories. It's a good idea to try to knock the price of the rear cargo tray and all weather mats off the list because they're completely removable.

As for the exhaust finishers, I don't hate them, I just don't like the silver finish. I've seen them plasti-dipped and they actually look quite good, so I don't mind doing that. It's just somewhat silly to pay for them when I'm going to cover them up anyway. I've seen aftermarket carbon fiber ones that match the black bumper that look good too. I'm pretty indifferent about it.

I've been in the boat of getting something I didn't really want before (I bought a 2.5i instead of a WRX for my first Subaru because I was settling). This is thankfully on the small end of that scale. I think I'll go to the dealer and try to negotiate a few pennies off the price, and see if the dealer will play ball. I can live with paying a few extra dollars for OEM goodies, that's the price for my impatience I guess

If not, no harm since I have a completely stock one on order

Guys you can paint the exhaust finisher to make them look MUCH better. Check it out in the Interior & Exterior thread. I might paint mine WRB or wrap them in carbor fiber 3M. to match my car. I think the finishers give the rear a more aggressive look even in that silver color.

No it mean the US port it will be in. It really doesn't matter much. You won't have nothing until they give you an actual ETA and then the "Shipped/Rail" date.

Digitizedsoul what is the status on your car?

It's been a little over 2 weeks since I ordered my Subie and I haven't gotten anything from my dealer, not even the VON. How long did it take you guys to get your VIN?
