Next ship to hit the east coast must be within the next week or so. My ETA bumped way up from April to Feb 26th. That tells me that it is near port.

I was also given my vin number.

I ordered 12/15 wrx limited with navi for reference.

iMPORTANT DS UPDATE!!!:::

So my car had several problems when I picked it up from my dealer.
1. 0 Washer fluid.
2. Intercooler was used as a parts / tools tray, fins ****ed up.
3. Alignment wasn't even done, like at all.

Took it back, alignment was 3mm off in several ways on both front wheels backs were also off, corrections made. Car still pulls to the right, i'm going to flip the front wheels to see if that fixes it.

Regarding the intercooler, they are giving me cash value towards an aftermarket one of my choice up to the amount of a new subaru TMIC (644$).
As a result I just ordered a Process West TMIC and a Cobb SF intake lol. Only going to end up paying around 200$ for a 1000$ intercooler, and they will install it for free. If they mess THIS one up, it's on them big time that's the only reason i'm letting them install it.

Only thing left is a downpipe to go to stage 2 and/or protune. I'm dealing with Mike @ TopSpeed motorsports here in atlanta, I highly recommend them as a subaru source for parts, questions and tuning in the southeast.

Also I did an intake silencer delete, and it didn't help the sound at all and I still can't hear the BPV so thats why i'm getting the Cobb intake.

I was told that mod doesn't work on the newer wrx/sti =(. Lets me know if the intake will improve that BPV sound.

I was excited to hear I didn't have to install a BOV to get that sound but then instantly told that mod wont' work on newer wrx/sti. I guess it's a good thing I didn't rape my hands/knuckles haha.

That's how I feel. I could have gotten a badass car and been driving it around for 4 months now for 40k

Lucky yet I'm not driving my new car (that I don't have yet) to a sold out concert. Lol

I was told this morning that my car hasn't hit the station in Fort Worth as of 11. So idk as of now, but as it sits All I know is I'm getting my car "sometime this week."

It's only 4 months. You'll have the car for years and forget all about how long you waited to get exactly what you wanted.

Unsuccesful TrollSucker is now unsuccessful.

Definitely not trolling. I just can't imagine waiting months for a car. Any car for that matter. Even though these cars are really terrific.

As for the suckers comment, I'll apologize for that. It was meant in jest, needed the appropriate smiley.

I know waiting is part of the fun and it makes the pick up day that much more enjoyable. It's just not for everyone.

Good luck to you all in your acquisitions. Hopefully you don;t get jerked around by your dealers like I hear of so often.

my original plan was to save up about 15k, or more if i could wait, and order a Camaro 2SS/RS 1LE (track version with quite a few upgrades from the reg. SS) but since my daily driver civic was totaled i had to get a car that was enjoyable, but also could be driven every day. so this car was pretty much my only choice.

I know it's "only" 4 months but the fact that ticks me off is I sold my car 6 weeks in because I was initially told 6-8 weeks. My bad apparently.

I've just always wanted an sti, I've been saving for nearly a year (not easy for a college kid) and all said and done ill be putting about 13k down. Everyone told me to go with a wrx but since I'm planning on keeping this long after its paid off, I went ahead with the STi so I wouldn't regret not doing so down the road.

well coming from an r18 civic (140bhp auto) the wrx will be plenty for me. i dont plan on doing anything to this car really because mainly ive never played with a turbo car lol. and i have my 83 silverado for that. i wanted a more lux car but i dont like to settle, and if im paying for luxury i want all that i can for the model i want. i looked at an acura TL fully loaded it was almost 50k before tax and fees. and if i got the sti i would want the limited like im getting in the wrx and thats almost 40k which is in line with the camaro that has a lot more stuff than the sti (backup camera, an sensors and lots of other neat little things)

Yeah I guess you live and learn there. Probably a good idea to wait until they tell you your car will be here next week to sell the old one. But you know that now. Hell I haven't even sold my OBS yet. I still need to get the 60k service and put some new tires on it, clay/buff/polish/wax and get her all nice and pretty so I can get top dollar. Guaranteed trade in was only 11,200, and I am seeing comparable ones go for 16k+ private party. Got it a year ago for 17 so even if I only get 14-15 I'll be pretty happy.

And kudos for saving for what you really wanted in the STi. That's a big purchase for a college kid, but treat her right and she'll last you a long time.

I did the same exact thing. Sold my ride thinking my delivery was immenent. Fail. I bitched at the dealer though and they gave me a free loaner.

I pick up my 2013 DGM STI hatch on Saturday! 5 hour ride from Philly to New Hampshire will be painful. But the 5 hour ride home will be so much better
