My goodness- I don't envy anyone on this thread. I search up and down the east coast for the exact WRX I wanted. Found it, got it for invoice, and drove 300 miles to get it. I don't know how some of you have been waiting 4+ months

What are you guys doing for inspection when it comes to the dealership dirty? Do you go over it with a fine tooth comb?

Reason I am asking is I'm telling them not to wash mine/detail it. I have seen the way some people wash cars... and needless to say ...

I am having them do hand wash only after removing the plastic and stuff with no tire shine, stickers, or plate drilling. Once I take delivery I'm going to put on my glasses and go over every inch of the car with a fine tooth comb to make sure there's nothing irregular before it rolls off the lot. Im really not worried about a swirl mark or somethig that i can easily take care of. I feel like you may be better off to have it at least rinsed off so no dirt hides anything before you leave with it. I personally would rather have them remove the plastic so I can inspect under it and then they could also never claim the way you removed the plastic caused some type of damage.

I suggest everyone looks very very close. I used to work for a dealer and I've seen detail guys throw some tire shine on a light scratch to shield it temporarily until It rolls off the lot. Once the shine wears off it reveals it. Shady ****, but it happens.

It'll probably sit there over night while waiting on paperwork/bank anyway. I may drive right down the road and camp out next to it J/K... Not that obsessed... but I wouldn't put it past me to go out with a flashlight if I worked that day until 7

Just a quick update, probably my last in this thread. A member asked about the Cobb AP a few pages back and I said I would update.

I flashed the car to stage 1 last night. No doubt about it, the car runs much better. Almost zero turbo lag and the power has been smoothed out. I was very disappointed with the top end stock tune it was getting choked out with fuel, to rich. I bet my AFR was in the low 10s- high 9s if not lower.

The AP feels great, and its a fantastic tool. I am running the stock intake stage 1 map. I will install the Cobb SF intake and use that map this weekend and decide which I like more.

I know this has nothing to do with ordering cars, but its info all of you should know. For the record I have ~350 miles on the car.

You have a car I want on the way, but it has a lot of SPT stuff and the NAV. If I can get it for invoice with those options ignored cost-wise I'm in!

Edit: You actually have the car I want "In Transit" hmmm.....

I'll probably be ordering a WRB base WRX 5 door next week.

About two weeks ago my dealer placed an order for an STI and the ETA on that is July!

Should I expect mine to arrive in July as well? So far in this thread, it looks like the wait has been only 2-3 months....

Dude don't sell stuff to get accessories for your car. Just save your money for a couple of months.

Since the port is in Richmond, it makes sense you would get yours before us folks in so cal. I'm happy there isnt any bad weather closing down the 5 through the grapevine.
