The led license plate light is like 7 bucks and takes all of 3 minutes to install and makes the backend look soooo much better.

Got picture? I thought it just to make it so the license plate is more visible at night. I upgraded my headlights to H9 though. Much better visibility.

i used to buy mine from superbrightleds.com but i had problems with their white 194 bulbs going out. the amber ones in my sidemarkers that i had lasted a while but they were turn signals only. i had some of their festoon map light bulbs that lasted pretty good, about 4 years.

For $7 I think it would be a nice looking mod especially on SWP like WRB13 said. Where did you get your's, Meeno?

What % you getting? I'm still undecided on tint when I get my ride but will definitely be changing out the license plate to LED's. Looks nicer especially on white. Also will be switching out the hi beams for Yellows.

let me clarify...those festoon bulbs were still working when the car was totaled, no telling how long they would last.

but yeah, like i said the other bulbs i got from them i had no problems with, it was just the white 194 bulbs i did, and i had 5 of them, and 3 went dead after about 4 months of use

I'm running no plates still, but you get the idea. I got them from Hoen, here's the link

Ok so they were 20 bucks but still worth it.

I also did the xenon match fogs. Easiest to see the difference by looking at the fog light pattern on the ground.

Before:

After:

Took me about 20 minutes total for both mods. I also readjusted my headlights so they are just a tad higher (made the old 0 setting the new 1 on the adjustable HID's). I will do the high beams too when I get a chance.

Sorry for all the crappy pics.

I thought mine was too high sometime especially now with the brighter H9 bulbs. Highly suggest anyone without HID headlight to make H11 to H9 swap into your low beams. All it takes is filing down 1 little tab in the plug to get much better visibility at night and in the snow/rain.

Mine were criminally low, especially on the freeway. I only had like two seconds worth of light (instead of the recommended four) when doing like 75. I lower them back to setting 1 around town usually.

yeah, LEDs last a lot of hours, but if the solder is bad, or they dont use the correct resistor, they wont last 1/2 as long
