I'm kind of new to this. My dealers have cars in stock, just not the model/color I want. Can I still order or is there some kind of cut-off date?

I would talk to a dealer, but anything i've seen says it's too late for 2013. May have to settle or wait for 2014?

Yeah, me too. It seemed like there were a bunch of mid- to late-january orders that were getting delivered early. I guess we weren't on that list.

SOA (who was very friendly) just told me to 'hang in there' and try to call back in May.

In other news, my girlfriend's best friend's fiancÚ owns an auto body repair shop. I've already talked to him about doing a clear bra and tinting as soon as I get my car. Hopefully I'll be able to get it done for a good price.

I've also been looking at getting a custom Lathe Werks knob and some WeatherTech floor mats for the front. Next on the list will be a bike rack.

Trying to hold out on spending that money in favor of a bigger down payment though. Every few hundred $$ helps!

(Lease payment). My salesman said every $1000 down is equal to roughly $28 less per month payment.

Yea, depends on term/rate/etc. $28 seems like a 3 year term.

Yeah, sounds good! There's a couple guys at The Car Store that have WRX's too. I've seen a ton driving around.

Yea, I've seen a handful in town around here. Tried the car store but their price wasn't competitive.

not gonna get into a lease/finance/cash discussion...

But it is never a good idea to put money down on a lease. All you are doing is paying your rent in advanced.

No. A lease is a loan for the projected depreciation of a car. There are good and bad leases. It never hurts to ask. Don't forget, you don't pay sales tax upfront on a lease, which can be a big savings.

I dont think im doing the clearbra... My current cars bumper is fine after 10 years. Not too many things here in ohio. If it does happen, oh well. :/

Literally 2 days after I picked up my STi I had a decent sized rock chip on the front hood. Pissed me off because a couple days later I was getting a clear bra installed. Ending up painting / sanding on my brand new car.

Better safe than sorry, Subaru's paint is garbage.

Depends on state. MD charges full tax on car value on a lease. Not on the monthly payment.
