When a dealer says hell sell it for you at 'invoice', that never includes the $770 freight, right? (other than if that was negotiated for)

Usually no. I know at our dealership they charge everybody that fee, even employees. Always on the back end of the deal.

That is correct. The dealer invoice cost does not include the additional destination fee. FYI, you should be able to get below dealer invoice without much dickering, especially on a special order.

I have a sheet of final negotiated otd price signed by me and my salesman. Scoobers you should be fine we got similar quotes and when I inquired with both dealers I specifically mentioned I wanted cost for DESTINATION/DELIVERY doc fee taxes etc. I have it in my e mails with the quotes they gave me.

Perhaps you misunderstood what I said, if the dealer offers you invoice on the car, it means what they paid (before hold backs). Their price does not include the destination fee, as that's built into the MSRP. If dealer invoice is $25,500, that's what you pay (plus doc fees, registration, and taxes).

Exactly what I told my dealer in person. I don't have any emails you sly dog you.

I just double checked my final negotiated otd price w/ my down payment on my Purchase agreement.

It has two spots that are marked N/A(I'm assuming a desination fee and a trade in negative equity fee). I'm not worried.

If you guys are getting dealers trying to throw on that last minute fee, I would raise hell if I was you. That is almost as bad as them giving your car an "Undercoating" and charging you 1000.00 for it.

Well Suby I'm sensitive at this point because I've been waiting since Jan7. My jimmies are easily rustled these days

Actually it's not being ordered. He happened to find the color (Ice Silver) and style (5 door), one Limited available now, and a Premium that he said is being built and available in May, so I'm wondering if below invoice is still a reasonable expectation since this is not a car being ordered???

I need to stop browsing this site. I'm only 2.5 weeks in to my order (placed 4/1) and I'm dying to have my WRX here. Every time I come here I just get jealous of everyone who has theirs already. Ughhhhhh

Depends on the dealer and the time of the month. I had one dealer offer me $1000 under dealer invoice because they were trying to meet a sales quota. Unfortunately, I couldn't take advantage of it because it was the middle of winter and I still needed to sell one of my cars. I'd say buying towards the end of the month is likely to get you a better deal, but you never know. Either way, I think you should be able to get a car at invoice without much negotiating, the dealer is still making money.

I was really hoping May, but looks like my best bet is earlier in June. Congrats on the VIN!

My car should be in NH a week from today. When did you order again? I ordered back in December on the 21st.

Lucky everyone (or my fault for ordering what I ordered). Ordered my PBP STi Limited on 2/16 with VON 2/18 and still no updates with an ETA of August.

My dealer has insisted it's likely to move up.... but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

Ummm... that would essentially be a 2014, and with an order in Feb., it definitely shouldn't have gotten pushed. If that was my estimate, probably would have scoured the country for one :-D

Tell me about it, my dealer's last order (SWP STi base) was quoted same 6mo and came in in 95 days, so by my order timing I expected early June to be the pushed up date and with so much salt here I was fine with that.

I'm also not actually sure if there was a single one in the country available. There were a few PBP STi's, but, if I remember correct, no limited with Nav unfortunately... and I wanted to be sure it hadn't been beat on/test driven with 6miles on it (my dealer is calling me when the truck is on its way so I can be there when it arrives).... to say I'm pumped is beyond an understatement.

I ordered my car on 2/16 also. The dealer put the order in on 2/18 and also got my VON. My dealer had contacted me in mid March with a ETA of June. I got my VIN this past Wednesday and an ETA of May 16th. If anything you should have at least an ETA of June.

That's what I was expecting/hoping. Did you order a Limited or Base? I usually read and (shock) search, and keep hearing the ridiculous delay on Limited's compared to others, particularly when paired with Navi.

Wanted an STi for QUITE some time, so didn't hold back. I just hope it's in in time for a decent amount before she goes away for the winter... Why we use salt here in MI when we have one of the largest sand deposits of the snow ridden states I'll never know.
