?
I'm out folks !

Looks nice debadged in white. Hopefully you don't get towed by a dumb tow truck driver without your AWD badge though. Maybe you can put one of those AWD stickers on the back windshield like your 2003 had. Haha

Congrats!

Every time my phone rings I get super excited, only to be let down. Probably one of the only times I'll complain about time passing too slowly.

I just got off the phone with SOA and my car is still due to arrive on May 16th. I got 14 more days. I feel like ever since I got my VIN on 4/17 the days and weeks are dragging. haha

I called a local dealer this morning and they told me the following:

Quote:
The WRX for the 2013 model year is slowing production now, and they have cut off orders, so they are going to be getting ready for the 2014 model year in the next couple months, so we will start to less WRX models coming in soon.
Is that true? I'de rather not be limited to what's on the already thin lots...

Yea, orders are cut, so unless you get something on a lot, it's waiting until next year's model. However, I know around the northeast, there's a large selection of wrx's on lots in just about every color and trim. No STis though.

Lol. Fellow brethren. Today no updates. As soon as Subueluvin text me yesterday I called my dealer right away. Of course, no updates. Ill just fap to his sedan until mine gets here

Eel, nothing! I dropped by the dealership after I got off work just to check it out around 8pm. They do have a gorgeous STI there though

On another note, my dealer has been pretty cool about the whole thing. He updates me frequently. He probably goes home and complains on me calling him twice this week :P i cant help it though

My salesman has been cool about it too. My salesman goes in to surgery tomorrow with a recovery of 2 weeks. I hope it doesnt effect my sale any.

Interesting note, since I know this has come up before. As I was tracking progress on my car, I did find out that once the dealer has assigned the vehicle an actual stock number (not DXN or DWN), it usually gets to the dealer within 48 hours. I also ran the VIN through CARFAX and it showed 1 record the day it arrived (pre-delivery inspection, I'm assuming).

Anyway, a little info for those patiently waiting.

Trust me, if your only calling twice a week it's not bothering him, at my dealership we have people that call every single day asking when their car is going to show up.

You guys wanna laugh? So I figured if just give it a shot and email my dealer and ask to save me the trouble and see if I brought my mud flaps there upon delivery if they could throw them on for me so I don't have to worry about any potential rock chips on the way home, and save me some time so I can throw my other parts on. They tell me "sure we can put them on... for $80" and they were serious. Uhh wut? I'm no paying half of the flaps just to have them installed. B.S. man. But I guess ill just throw them on myself.

base model? If so, that's the same car I ordered TWO MONTHS before you did. It still hasn't arrived.

Needless to say, I'm going to completely chew out my dealer before I sign any checks or paperwork. As far as I'm concerned they didn't do their job.

Oh, and congrats on the car, I don't mean to rain on your parade or anything. I know my last few posts have been pretty negative Nancy but I'm pretty fed up with my dealer. I should have either ordered from a higher volume shop or just flown to a big market city and bought the car there.

I'm also waiting on a DGM, limited though. I think we ordered around the same time, what month eta did your dealer give you when you ordered? I'm getting a little pissed too — 14 weeks waiting, no details yet — but my dealer told me June eta upfront so I guess I can't be toooo mad.

I've seen people mention that the cars seem to be getting made in batches of specific colors. That seems believable from this thread. Does anyone know if that goes for trim level as well?

BTW, asiago, if you want to upgrade to a premium, Boardman Subaru might still have the one the they ordered for me.

Long story short, went there just to test drive (closest car i could find on a lot), they were nice but typically pushy. They basically ordered me a car even though I didn't ask them to, or plan on buying from them. Once I test drove I decided to get a lmtd and bought from the dealer around the corner from my house (West Liberty Subaru, for invoice).

Unfortunately (for both of us, I guess) they called me Monday to tell me that the car was on its way. So, it's yours if you want it!

Yep, base. Sun roof, fogs, and heated seats would have been nice, but I'm fine with what I got. My dealer actually apologized about it taking so long (8 weeks)! I couldn't believe they said that, considering some of you guys have been waiting 14+ weeks!

I bought from a SNE dealer, I have no idea how the allocations differ between them and SOA. Seems like a lot of SOA people are getting hosed, that's crazy you've been waiting 6 weeks longer than me and still no car.

No offense taken, I agree, it's very bittersweet to watch people get their cars when you are still waiting. I started to drive myself crazy by compulsively checking this thread in the last week or so.... haha.

So my dealer FedExed me the paper work today which I signed and overnighted right back to him, so when I get home my car will be waiting for me in my own garage, Woot!

What with that silver surround around the exhaust? Why don't I see that on others?
